BLS, the only thing about your band that isn't cohesive is the addition of Gibbons to a metal lineup. You need a utility keyboard player and this is your man.......Viv Savage who also played keyboard bass for the one and only Spinal Tap.

yea both those albums are good, & so is this new one. however they're not good enough.
imo L&T was his last brilliant LP & TOOM is one of his best ever, Oh Mercy's somehwere in between.
i'm a little disappointed in that he seems settled in his character/persona & is treading the same water as the last decade plus.
agree with all of that....and TOOM is definitely one of his best. To me, it was his best since Blood on the Tracks.

Tempest.
it's just alrite. better than modern times/together thru life, not as good as love & theft & nowhere near time out of mind.
reminds me a little of some of his 80s albums in terms of quality. some absolute stunners, some self-indulgent & maybe even some less worthy songs all mixed-in. when it's good it's typically righteous when it's not it's dull & same old same old. the formula is stale, there's none of the imagination of say New Morning/Desire, or even Infidels/Slow Train: he's been on this same bent now for a while & it's losing it's shine, more variety wouldn't go amiss.
but he still does pack a punch. as always some of his lyrics & delivery are sublime/hilarious/heartbreaking & some of the tunes really rattle on, nearing the intoxicating best songs of recent times & when he goes brooding he's still the master.so a mixed bag really.
listened to some clips....didn't hear the catchiness of something like Thunder on the Mountain, Workingman Blues #2 or Someday Baby. Modern Times wasn't bad and neither was Together Thru Life (about half of each album is good).

The video is a rough cut. That's not the final version.
But what is this animated video people keep talking about?
from msl documents...a few versions...can't remember where animated info came from but I think it was legit.

I fucking hate Jason Garrett. I can't believe that Dallas with the talent they have can be so fucking consistently inconsistent. That falls on coaching and an inability to prepare the team week in week out. Complete lack of focus and disciplin in Dallas and it's been that way since Parcells left. Sad part is no that they have the players they don't have a coach. I swear to god they are teaching a soft mindset and culture in Dallas. I can just pictue Jason Garrett pumping these clowns tires on a daily basis telling them how great they are. He should've been fired 2 years ago. In fact he shoudl never have gotten the job to begin with.
Also today was without a doubt the WORST I have ever seen Jason Witten playa nd Dez Bryant was fucking aweful.
Same Old Cowboys!
the blame lies with Jerry Jones and the actual demise started when Jimmy Johnson left. Switzer won because he had all of Johnson's players. Once the big three slowed down and Jerry Jones took over complete control (outside of the brief Parcells stint), it was over and has been over since then. All Jerry Jones' fault.
