I think the timbre (or lack thereof) is covered up by the warmness of the venue and huge ass amplification employed therein.

^Great, now I hear it. Originally I was thinking it was like a jazzed up riff on some Madagascar riff, and then I thought it sounded sort of like Explosions In The Sky... now it's just creepy drama teacher to catch a predator.

Personally, being at both shows, I had a great f-ing time.
Yeah - I KNOW I wanted Oh My God, or Prostitute, or for this show "to be the one where Axl does 2 new songs and talks about what the other songs are about" or something like other 'historic shows' were... but that's not what was advertised, and that's not the real reason I went.
Axl's between song and solo comments were not identical, that I can assure you!
It's like they're doing what they're doing to have the best successful show they can. They added some stuff 3/4 into this tour schedule and I'm very happy to have Shacklers and Civil War!
I'm like 'YEAH THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME' and 'FUCK PARADISE CITY, STUPID FUCKING SONG, I WANTED TO HEAR ____________...' at the same time. But the 'fucking awesome' weighs more heavily.
Ran into DJ and a mob of female admirers on Friday afternoon. I touched his arm and said, while he looks at me, 'DJ, you do good work.' He says 'Thanks man.'

It's 2:22 AM, local Vegas time. (actually, IS there time in Vegas?)
Woke up at 4 AM in Central Flyover Country time.
So that's like 4AM to 4AM. Pretty sweet.
So -
I saw 1 "Charlie Don't Surf" shirt.
A bunch of women of all ages, single, married, and otherwise attatched, swooning after DJ.
Axl and DJ share knowing looks...of something.
Axl still throws the piss out of that microphone stand.
The microphone stand is now...yellow/orange.
Sabastian swings the piss out of his microphone.
Stronger vocal than Chicago, or at least the sound was better for me.
Oh, by the way, I made it to the rail, again.
Didn't even line up early.
"That was the best f-cking show I've ever seen, and believe me, I've been to a lot of f-cking shows" - woman as she was walking out.
See you kids tomorrow as I go to the NYE show.
Will have balcony seeting for that.
The Joint does a nice touch where they have waitresses bring out drinks, even to people along the rail!

I wonder if some he's more bored with, some he's not, so that = some sort of quality. I thought Sorry has been his more consistent one, though.
