I am just glad all this stuff is coming out. However, it really chaps my ass that guys who arranged these songs aren’t getting any credit.
How would you feel if you were Finck, Stinson and Bucket?
I'd be pissed off is what i would be.
Remember that blurb they had on there site about how Perhaps was written by Axl, Slash and Duff this year? They pulled that down and it wouldn't surprise me if a legal letter got flung there way from Fink or someone. I mean it was an outright lie.

Very sad to hear that always liked Friends.

Hopefully it's never public knowledge who leaked them. No sense burning that bridge.
Yeah... while I do understand the curiosity since there's always craziness surrounding leaks, in this case I think we're better off letting the sleeping dog lie and just being grateful we got it right as the fan base was having a collective conniption fit from hell over the vinyl fiasco.
The fact that it leaked here... although not the first song to leak here... hopefully not the last...is intriguing. That guy/girl could have literally posted it anywhere...mygnr, bad Apples, HTGTH, Hoffman, torrents, discords, social media platforms...yet they chose Evo.
Agreed. & a big thanks to who ever it was.
Has TB hassled you about this at all? What else leaked here way back?

wagszilla wrote:The orchestra sting on "The General" is the bridge, not the intro like I suspected. I'm not sure it works for the beginning of the bridge but the ending of the bridge is pretty satisfactory.
If "Monsters" is "Soul Monster", someone try to listen for Robin's SRV solo Axl mentioned.
Edit: It could be the solo 2:00-2:15 but I'm no SRV expert
Axl never said nor implied that Soul Monster was the song with the SRV solo. Forum myth.
Yeah he just said it was on one song
I think we need to re-think some of the things we all assumed. I mean The General strings being split into two songs that may or may not have been one song at some stage is not a curve anyone saw coming at all.

A user on SoundCloud who got his "monsters" upload removed got a message that said copyright claim id "the general" from universal music group. I think this officially means the general and monsters are one song. But the original ripper must have deleted the long outro of the general..(intro to monsterS) or there is none.
I recieved the same notice when i put the 2006 tour intro on youtube a while back. The strings part in Monsters is the same as that so that could trigger it i guess

1. Monsters
Very catchy chorus. Slash best work since the start of the releases.2. The General
Not the monster of a song we thought it was but still pretty good. gives me a SOG- industrial feel to it.3. Perhaps
Glad the piano is high on the mix. Weird Axl voice effects. Guitar solo is weird because of that 2 notes from the OG being there.4. Absurd
Pretty good bass on the intro.5. Hard Skool
The Skool bell kills the song. Don’t like how the guitars sound.
Cant really put it better than this

I love Monsters. The General is growing on me. Monsters far more memorable though. I forget what The General sounds like as soon as it's over. But while I'm listening to The General, I do enjoy it.
Don't you kind of feel like there the same song split into 2 parts? That old tour intro is in both songs. Monsters is far better I agree.

The vocals on the heavy part of monsters are real close to his Angel down vocals tone wise. I think there probably from around 2006

I forgot who mentioned it but parts of The General really does have a Portishead vibe.
Yeah it kind of does
