Saw the litho somewhere and it has skeleton renderings of frank, melissa, fortus, and dizzy. Is that a first?

We have to get over the voice thing…..don’t go to the show. Bono sounds like shit now too. They are old! I read an interview with Maynard from Tool. He said he just can’t do some of their older material because it is too physical.

There is nothing wrong with being a nostalgia act when you are 60 years old.

I agree with this. Also worth noting he makes up for it with stage presence. Contemporaries of his don’t. Anybody see Jovi lately?

I’d love to hear Grohl isolated to know exactly what he is playing on PC. Seems more like a pantomime.

“The band wanted a nice studio with a variety of speakers and headphones to listen to new mixes before they head for Glastonbury. It sounds awesome!”

It’s honestly good to see they are actually doing something together besides playing live. Shows they are actually collaborating and not just sending back tracks on laptops.

They may be waiting on the US tour to unveil new music. I was at Boston in 2021 (second show of the tour I think?) when they debuted Absurd. Pretty sure Hardskool came shortly after?

Edit: pretty sure that Boston show was in August so maybe we should our breath for a couple months (or forever).

I wish Duff would at least put out something like Loaded or Neurotic Outsiders. This acoustic stuff sounds very bland to my ears.

I actually bought the whole walking papers album and didn’t make it through the first song. He’s a great supporting musician though.

I plan to listen to zero tracks. I like some of Duff’s other projects (namely Neurotic Outsiders) but I know this won’t do it for me.

The demo of Perhaps - the chorus sounds a mess. I hope they have sorted that out - one of the factors is the layered vocals and the way it's mixed. I hope it's addressed in the mix or that Axl might have even looked at a more cohesive melody. Not confident given Axl's aversion to recording studios mind...

If they keep releasing these songs with old vocal takes, the bigger a slap in the face “Rock the Rock” becomes. He can do what he wants in the studio. He’ll do it for an obscure streaming Looney Tunes cartoon but not his money maker of a band? Has to be an epic troll.

Edit: We’re most likely to hear new-Axl vocals on a Carrie Underwood song.

I worry about the General. It’s been built up by the fan base so much over the years it’s never going to live up to it.

Prostitute pre 2008 vibes.

Were people disappointed  in Prostitute because they thought it wasn't a quality track or because they were expecting a sleazy rocker based off the title? I wasn't in the fandom at the time.

There was quite a bit of hype for it. I liked it when it was “song 2” at the time but thought based on the title and hype it would be just a little darker and more akin to TWAT.
