I do have an instrumental version on my old iPod that I found floating around years ago that does have some more synth, much like the live version
I think i remember that it sounded like someone made it with early vocal separation software.

You mention the Bumblefoot version and I think a lot of people think of that as the remix, but if you look at his description it doesn't fit that at all. Brain was asked to work on six remixes for the band one of which one of which clearly was Oh My God. Bizarrely this has been largely forgotten by people.
It doesn't surprise me if it's out there, but it does surprise me it hasn't leaked.
the BBF version of oh my god did leak I thought
I have it or is that not it
That did yes. But if you listen to it it does not match Axl's description at all.
The version that leaked is a a mono version of the song panned to the hard right channel and BBF guitar take panned hard left.
That is not a remix. With the remix Axl mentions new vocals (& a lot of them). There are no new vocals on the BBF leak at all.

Why would you tack on two of the most sought after and anticipated tracks of the CD era to a B-side for a vinyl single? They’re better than Hardskool and way better than Absurd. The press was great for Perhaps, he has goodwill with the media, The General would have been heralded because of the child abuse aspect. Whoever is making these decisions needs to step back and get someone in there who has an actual plan and knows how to execute it.
The leaks were the only good thing that came from this. They screwed up every step of this process. They can blame the vinyl plant, but these songs should never have been released like this to begin with
Has it been confirmed Monsters is on the vinyl too?
No.

We will have a better understanding of how he sounds in a studio now when this song from the Michael Schenker album either leaks or is released. Due somewhere in first quarter next year.

I'd download this except for the fact Robin's solo is taken out of TIL on this one.
Hello Robin.

Also, listening to the isolated vocal on The General it sounds like to me someone, maybe the leaker messed with the chorus, it seems way too off to be that bad of a mix, espeically if its from a 99-04 demo, no demos from those are mixed this bad.
I think someone went in and put tons of reverb and turned the sound way up on those parts to mess with the leak, so the leakers still have a prestine version for trade.
Well they wouldn't be the first person to leave an audio mark on a leak if that were the case. But I just think The general is not a finished mix.
Stuff like the distortion and reverb is a choice I think. I mean look at the released version of Hard Skool it's on that too. The General sounds far better with the vocal track set to mono, and with the outro vocals removed to give the solo room to breathe.

The next William Hung.
I don't tend to watch reaction videos but good god... I lay down serious money to watch Axl react to that video.
But seriously Wagzilla and neemus are right. This fanbase has it's fair share & I guess I must be one.

Shacklermyrye wrote:misterID wrote:Shacklermyrye, so you have the ability to edit/remix these songs? I wonder what General would sound like with like the end ending of Circus Maximus would sound like. It feels like a pretty abrupt ending
I'm working on them a bit yeah. I'm not trying to do some mad mashup though and i don't really want to throw loads of fan mixes of these songs online. All i'm really trying to change is bring the strings up a bit, lower the guitars in places, & center Axl's vocals so that there not panned all over the place. It's actually been easier to clean up beltrami's stuff from the live intro than from these leaks. It may actually be easier to isolate them from live performances of the songs (if they ever play them).
Without doing a mashup, the only thing you really need to do is fix Axls vocals on The General so they dont go so loud on the chorus.
I'm going to do that and remove the vocals at the end. I have also put the trumpets back in (badapplesforum will be thrilled) Ending sounds much better with less vocals.
