Scurrilous email gossip rag Popbitch is claiming in this week's edition that...
AC/DC's people are taking no chances with Axl Rose. His contract has the iron-clad stipulation that he won't see a penny until the tour is over.
That's nice and all, but we are talking about a guy that doesn't need money. If he gets pissed off or is treated poorly by AC/DC fans and decides to quit the tour, then who gives a shit. He still got to sing with Angus and I think that is his motivation here, not money. If the thing goes well and he actually gets paid for it, he probably views that as a bonus.

Axl toeing the company line for his boss lol, this is awesome and hilarious to watch. You know its gotta be fucking weird for him.
I think he is glad to do anything Angus asks. Once in a lifetime deal for him to sing for one of his heroes.

So Angus wanted to tour another 10 years?
He'll do it without Brian. Angus is a freak. The man still moves on stage like a 30 year old. The next question is who will he get as a permanent singer.

The one at top of the google searches .net is a private forum. Kind of curious to read what their hardcore fans have to say about this.
Wow, Axl is really going for the rasp on Thunderstruck. Either this AC/DC run of shows in Europe will be the greatest warm-up ever and his voice for GN'R will be in classic Axl form with good rasp...or he's gonna blow out his voice singing 110% for Angus and then he'll go full Mickey Mouse on the GN'R tour. Let's hope it's just a great warm-up for him.

The Skid Row name is of such little value now. GNR fans used to talk about Axl running the name into the ground....imagine how hardcore Skid Row fans felt about what Snake and Bolan did to Skid Row. They've done so much damage to it I'm not even sure Baz coming back would give them much of a boost. It would be mentioned in various music outlets for a week and then back to the bowling alleys and pizza parlors. Opening for GNR would give them tons of exposure but I doubt it would help in the grand sheme of things.
It is strong testament to the quality of Guns' music and the loyalty of the fanbase that Axl did everything he could to drag it down and yet here they are potentially on the verge of fulfilling the prophecy everyone said about them in the late 1980's ("they could be the next Rolling Stones").

I am thinking if the shows sell out just with the GN'R name, they should just let The Cult be the opener for the tour. It's a good fit musically and would be a good full circle for both bands.
