#281 Re: Guns N' Roses » Slash casually refers to a new GNR record in a vague non committal way » 279 weeks ago
I have nightmares of a new album written from scratch, with Axl singing anti-Trump lyrics over SMKC style riffs. Hoping for CD II with reworked Soul Monster, The General, ect.

SONGS GIVEN TO ANOTHER ARTISTS:
34 - As It Began
Did he give this to Queen
Also I notice you have negative seven karma so it's not your first time posting, reading them it looks like most of it was for unconfirmed lists about leaks??? Just saying.

I agree Axl/DC was originally meant to be permanent. I think it collapsed when Angus heard Axl's 2017 voice.

I'm a Bill Clinton guy, btw.
Cut taxes and increase spending....that’s like an animal house way of building an economy
That's why I mentioned the debt. Still, we've never seen an economy or job numbers like we did pre-covid.
When Obama was President conservatives (including Trump himself) went on and on about the "real" unemployment rate, factoring in those who had stopped looking for work. Funny how we never heard about that again once the GOP were in power.

Rod Jackson destroys Myles as a frontman. The music just wasn't commercial enough for the radio.
#286 Re: Guns N' Roses » You are the new manager of Gn'R, what do you do? » 291 weeks ago
1.Dissolve the band, no one needs to see this embarrassing circus in concert again.
2.Release CDII/Stay Of Execution unaltered by Slash/Duff.
This should have happened in 2010, Axl maybe wouldn't have gone out on top as far as the public/press is concerned, but he would have gone out as Axl Rose. The corporate jukebox that showed up at Rio 2011 and calls himself Axl Rose has been nothing but a disgrace, and that includes his universally praised raspy nostalgia whore shows in 2016.
#287 Re: Guns N' Roses » How much has Axl worked on CD since its release? » 292 weeks ago
At some point they must have really wanted something out, to sink 14 million into it.
#288 Re: Guns N' Roses » Would the real Chinese Democracy please stand up? » 296 weeks ago
The worst part is Bucket never got to play any of the songs he wrote. At least Robin got to play Better before he was out.

Wagszilla wrote:I really wish "Sorry" had an alternative cut with better lyrics ala "Don't Cry (alt)".
This is why I will never bother listening to a fan edit of including the vocals on the demo.
The instrumental has a chilling doom and gloom, existential vibe to it.
It deserved so much more than being a song aimed at Slash and other "enemies".
I wish Bucket or someone had stood up to him and said that the lyrics aren't acceptable.
Having said that....
It’s harder to live with the truth about you, than to live with the lies about me’ is absolute gold.
One of his best lines ever.
I kinda disagree with this. I think what makes Axl a great songwriter is how personal he is, and we know his hatred of Slash was a major obsession of his for almost two decades. I would rather he write about what he's feeling than try to write something more substantive if he's not into it. Sorry might come off as petty but he's pouring his emotions out there.

Wagszilla wrote:"Shacklers Revenge" didn't have vocals until 2007.
"Soul Monster" didn't have vocals until December 2006/2007.
"Scraped" I think fits alongside the two above.
"This I Love" was possibly a 2006-2007 vocal session.Any source on this? Better for example looking at the credits i very similar (in credits) to the tracks above and vocals by 04 at the latest.
I bet Leave Me Alone, Seven, Thyme and The General all had vocals by 2002 for Beltrami to work on shortly after.
Wagszilla wrote:Neither "Catcher" nor "This I Love" were destined for the first two albums
I'm not sure there's any proof though on this first two albums stuff and if so, what "first two albums"?
Beltrami said none of the songs he worked on had vocals.
