NIN.
First Janes Addiction song I've ever heard. It was pretty good though.

I think a lot of the Slash hate is from a small percentage of people who swallowed the whole online anti Slash propaganda campaign that originated from htgth and Axls hangers on.
Go and look at the Velvet Revolver section at htgth and just look at it, full of self righteous, hypocrytical, dishonest mindless trolls - and thats just some of the admin. Sane people try reasoning against the bullshit attitude, but its a complete waste of time - that motherfucker is paid to spout bile against Slash and shout down on anyone with a differing viewpoint.
How can you argue with someone who will swear the grass is blue and the sky is green if their hands are crossed with enough silver pieces??
I thought a little less of Slash after I read his book, not for anything major, just that he never really seemed to accept any responsibilty for much, no matter how fucked up on heroin he was.
I think anyone who reads a book written by an ex heroin addict would find it hard to swallow that so many things can be going wrong around them whilst they are in a drug filled haze, and they are at least not be to blame for some of the commotion.
But fuck it, I'd still love to meet Slash, Axl, Izzy, Duff and Steven no matter how much they fuck up in their lives. I've loved that band and their music since I was a boy in 1987/8 and it will never change.
Anyone who bashes Slash on his GNR legacy on a GNR site is either lying or just plain fucking dumb.
I actually forgot how good of a performer he was, been to busy keeping up with the new band.
I've been watching lots of old videos on youtube, like the chicago 92 show, and that guy is a rock god for good fucking reason, not by fluke.

My first dealings with gnr online were at .44 Calibre Horticulture waaay back when, like when Finck joing the band was news....
That site was the first one I ever visited on the net. It took me a while to find decent sites, wasnt very computer savvy, but I always remember going there the first time I ever ventured onto the internet.
I then visited mygnr for a while, they had lots of soundbites and audio which was what I was really looking for, as well as news of a new album. I lurked on their forum and htgth for a while and I first posted on the original newgnr.com, way before the merger.
That was a good site, I wasnt happy when it merged with gunsnroses.us, to make cd.com. I do actually remember another chinesedemocracy.com existing a few years before they used that name.
I pretty much emigrated to htgth after that merger, which was a good site back in the early 2000s. There was tonnes of info about what gnr had been up to over the years, a lot of it was new to me, and the forum seemed open to all fans.
Eventually I got sick fed up of the evergrowing twisted politics, hypocracy and general unpleasantness of the place and landed here.
I always wondered, what happened to RoV? I only occasionaly went there to lurk and always noticed the topics and content of the discussions were way different than the big forums.
I think I sought out RoV when I got sick of the censorship on other forums and found here instead.

Can I get:
"They're only here to see to see Gandalf."
At the London premier of X-Men 2, Ian McKellan was getting interviewed on the red carpet outside and the reporter was saying "so what do you think of this turn out tonight? There must be thousands of people out there..."
McKellan just shrugged his shoulders and said, " Ah well... They're only here to see Gandalf."

Nobody is owning up to voting Nirvana ahead of Estranged lol!
#2947 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Slash Basically Blaming Axl » 918 weeks ago
I like my drums a bit louder than they are on cd, but I'm getting used to all the things like that, that bugged me before.
I still think the album could have been mixed better, the outro to Catcher is really bad. Brains going nuts but you have to strain, focusing your ear to get into the drums. Those damn guitars are to loud and are away in a world of their own.
The demo guitars complemented those wonderful lyrics at the end of the song, the new version still doesnt sit right me at all even though I want to love the song so much.

Yeah dude, all those songs you mentioned have a drum loop, its not the drummer playing those little bits that sound like a drum machine - its a drum machine.

If he starts playing clubs and bars again for the pleasure of playing music, instead of using the name to headline festivals, I will believe he is keeping GNR alive for honourable reasons.
But apparantly its a "stadium tour" next, isnt it

Remember a few years before he sold out, the site forum was changed so when you typed stuff it came out like rapper talk, "fo' shizzle ma nizzle" and all that. That was a good one.
I was browsing that site and seen how they behave in that that VR section, jeez, absolutely pathetic. Its actually worse than ever
