1. Monsters
Very catchy chorus. Slash best work since the start of the releases.

2. The General
Not the monster of a song we thought it was but still pretty good. gives me a SOG- industrial feel to it.

3. Perhaps
Glad the piano is high on the mix. Weird Axl voice effects. Guitar solo is weird because of that 2 notes from the OG being there.

4. Absurd
Pretty good bass on the intro.

5. Hard Skool
The Skool bell kills the song. Don’t like how the guitars sound.

Vocals are center-channel on both tracks, so they can be mostly-isolated. They are very clear on Monsters. On The General, they are about 60% clear, going into effect-mode in the "My only regret" and "Of those who" sections. I think that was intentional, and clear lyrics aren't meant to be heard. Could be wrong.

I got most things wrong with the rebuild, but am pleased with what I thought I heard of the vocal melody. Playing one on top of the other, the screaming section almost kinda sorta sounds almost sorta similar. Almost.

Glad these are out. Hopefully my anxiety level will return to normal.

Where have you heard this? There was a youtube clip that sounded better than the links I downloaded from here, but not sure if it was just a better quality rather than a better mix. But it got taken down.

I couldn't find it. Not sure if that was true
