#3071 Re: The Sunset Strip » Hologram Performances Discussion » 696 weeks ago
I see. Sounds both strange and interesting. Hoping there isn't any backlash from fans or the Queen camp/alumni especially from John after this happens. I'm hoping Roger is completely okay with this even with the press and the fans wanting this to happen even if it's such for a musical. This could be a good prototype testing for a full scale experience in the near future.
If you anyone on this forum wants to discuss anything more about Queen, feel free to come to this thread and post. Love to hear your opinions.

Damn...now I may have to choose between a Slash solo show and a VR show...
You're not alone in that decision making process my friend! My only problem with this was the reunion show they had a few months back didn't show that much chemistry. Hopefully a ton of crap and egos have been let go since last time. I love most of the VR catalog. I'm sure Slash will continue to do solo stuff even with Velvet getting back together.

Well I sort of saw this coming eventually since it's been more than 3 years and no new buzz about the band. Glad to see they fully patched things up and there is no drama and drugs involved this time around. Check out the link for more info.

SWEET!! Can I get a hell yeah? That's great to hear that there is ton of positive energy with the band and the new record!

Great selections. Same here on the topic of the new single! Yeah most great albums that have been released have a single that kind of gives people the wrong impression of the record plus all the critics judge it too quickly. I still don't understand that much of the hate for Tattoo by Van Halen.
I bought the Essential Aerosmith awhile back. Great collection of tunes and it was on sale.
Has all my favorites and some songs that I haven't heard in awhile.

Hoping the record is excellent and features a ton of well deserved hard rock for the fans!

It almost looks like a shirt that could of been sold back at Rock in Rio 3 in 01.

It's so different to the start of 2011 and even 2009. This I Love isn't quite up there with full-throated versions like Toronto 2010 as he's still relying heavily on falsetto but when he can manage his voices as wel as he does here to minimise stress i'm all for it.
I'd rather he sang like this every night and was still able to do it in 10 years than he try and sing like he did in 2010 all the time and shorten his career.
This makes me really excited for Nottingham next Friday. I've mostly given u hope for new music, vids, interviews etc altogether so i'm just gonna badger him with signs for Twat at the UK shows
I completely agree on the point where I'd rather him pace himself (read: use falsetto to manage his voice better) so he can keep doing 3 hour shows and extend his career than just go blow his voice out.
Having said that, that second YCBM video up there sounds TONS better overall.
Axl took great care of his voice during that song and he has definitely been keeping in shape to make sure there is nothing slowing down during the setlist performances. DJ and the rest of the band were on fire and in top form. The guitar parts were played perfectly and with great energy to boot. My man Frank kicking ass on the drums! Looks like they are shaping up quite nicely on this tour and hoping they bust out some new tricks and songs sometime soon.
