The complete lack of emotion from the teenager is what bothers me.   He just come across as blank.. or numb.  I don't think the kid had any clue what he was saying.

I'm not sure if Avery is guilty of this crime or not.. but I think the case deserves a fresh look.

Especially that Force Flashback scene.

That scene was the exact reason I gave myself the excuse to go see it a second time.

Fantastic.

The music world has definitely reverted back to the 1950s mindset of a single, just with a higher bump in tech. Having said that, people do still release albums as a promotional vehicle for a tour.

If this is really how Axl/TB feel, then just announce it. If they want to go full on nostalgia they will still get people going to shows. THis dangling a Chinese carrot strategy is tiresome and is why the hardcore fan base is like this. People expecting an album that is always off in the distance.

Absolutely, people still release albums..

I guess I'm just trying to say that Guns could get away with a song or two if they don't have a full album or the desire to release an album.

But c'mon, we know better than to expect announcements about this sort of thing. 14

The free pass you guys are giving this guy is pathetic. And I hate it when he refers to GNR as "Guns" and I cringe when Eddie Trunk says it too. That is an intimate word to me and I think only Slash, Axl, Duff can refer to the band as Guns. Guns to me relates to a gang, a posse, a group of pals... When I look at pitman, I see that 40 year old living in his parents basement. That tool album he describes as out of control amazing still isn't out. He sounded like Bach there. Total Cheese shit. "Hey bro, I am Guns, we are reuniting, we were cool enough to let Slash and Duff hang with us. They can finally feel what we have felt since 2000 being in the most dangerous band in the world. Richard is going to teach Slash all the songs ok CD so we can still play them live. Kind of like how Tommy taught Duff. Duff and Slash will be happy. I am glad we were able to help them".

On that same note, I don't really see a reason to bag on the guy.     I think he has enough time in the band to have earned the fans respect.

I like him better than Teddy "Zig Zag" anyways. tongue

That guy is a fucking clownshow. Said guns doesn't release albums because nobody buys them. So he is in no hurry. Major tool. This interview is on YouTube if you want to see for yourself.

He said that there's no hurry to release albums, because people doesn't buy albums.
And is a fact that, nowadays, live shows and tour are a greater income for bands and artist.

In the era of Itunes/Pandora/Spotify, its all about the hit song.

It's a shame because as a kid, I loved riding my bike to the record store and buying tapes/cd's and the best part about that was looking at the liner notes and the pictures.

If they put out a song or two, released on iTunes.. would be awesome.

Its been 10 years since I flew across country to see the band come back at the Hammerstein.    Those were awesome days, but life is different now.

I am 36 and don't need to be doing this shit. My GF is livid I have money for this but not her ring. But this may be my only chance to see them

We are close in age, 35 here.  Yep, do it before you get married and have kids.     That's when it all changes.    If I was single, I would probably be right there with you.

I've always felt that out of all the guys to come into the band after Slash and Duff left, Richard would have fit in with the original guys the best.    Should be cool.

Where is Indio, CA anyway? Is that northern California? I have family in Orange County. Not seriously thinking about going though. I'm holding out hope for a less pricey show closer to home.

Southern California, in the middle of the desert.     Near Palm Springs.

I'm hoping for a statement on other gigs. Would like to know before I drop probably more than a grand on Coachella tix and travel expenses.

If you drop a grand to see a non AFD lineup I will pay for your counseling. What a fucking rip off. Slash and Duff is great. Watching them share a stage with Pittman and Frank may make me vomit.

I dropped a grand to see Axl, Robin, Richard, BBF, Tommy, Brain, Dizzy, and Chris in New York back in 2006.

I'd do it again too.

Will you pay for my counseling?   finck

My wife thinks I need it.

I think it makes sense to keep Frank.. then no worries about the Adler vs Matt thing.   He is a solid drummer who already knows the songs and does them justice.
