No updates, except that if we believe Eddie Trunk, the track Axl recorded on is a cover.

I think Schenker mostly does covers for his solo stuff or at least a lot of them. He did cover Hair Of The Dog a few years ago. I'm more intrigued as to if Axl might be one of the guest vocalists on Slash's next solo album. Apart from that pop star (I forget her name) Slash was pictured with Steven Tyler in a studio so I expect him to be one.

If to be in guns you had to have it in your contract that you couldn't have side projects or release solo albums we would have so much material.

Even if they didn't release any of it imagine how much shit there would be to have leaked over the years (if we were lucky)

If there ever is another album and I doubt there will be, i expect it will be made up of say 3 Slash songs, 1 Duff song, 4 songs that Axl has had for years & two covers. I did hear about a year ago they covered Children Of The Revolution in I think 2019. MSL would know if that's true more than I (I assume). I guess the other cover would be Lineman or Slither.

Oh well at least were getting The General soon.

Also anyone heard updates about this Schenker album that both Axl and Slash are supposed to be on?

Nothing Duff says means anything.

When visiting the site during the last 6-12 months... been getting a certificate warning from my browser, picture below. I skip around the warning and I'm not concerned.... but I did want to make the administration aware. Am I the only person running into this? Thank you.

PS. For what its worth I use the brave browser (based on chromium engine which google chrome uses.)
PPS. This is the only website the warning appears on (that I use regularly)

I use Brave too, but never had certificate warning from the site.

The closer we get to release day without this thing leaking the more I'm inclined to think they could be behind on it being pressed in the first place.

we should know in 11 days either way. I have never purchased from there site directly before. I assume you get a "Your item has been dispatched" email or something?

#336 Re: Guns N' Roses » The General confirmed next » 135 weeks ago

Well only two weeks to go until it's released. I'm sure it will turn up online everywhere as soon as someone gets there's. I don't see a leak happening before that of an earlier version though. Possibly after the release though as I guess the track won't be worth quite as much.

I did mean new stuff btw as in I doubt he has the new version.
I simply mean I suspect the sharing of songs with people on the fringes of the band has been restricted since those old days because of what happened back then. Would expect they got more careful after the Locker leaks too. Pretty sure people at Creative Works at least will have the new version though, as they will have needed it to do there job.

Another clue that he has it all is how he shits on everyone else who wants the songs. A neutral observer/fan would not do that.

But he isn't a neutral observer/fan of the band he follows them around everywhere and runs a "fan" forum. I'm not sure that means he has it all though. In my experience people on the fringes of people in the public eye often have an elevated view of themselves and look down on others or "Shits on everyone else" as you put it lol. So that does sound familiar behaviour tbf.

I have somehow gone about 20 years without ever once speaking to the guy as I was never a user there. Heard both bad and good about him.

The interview archive they got is good though.

Oh I don't know. If you look back to how the first CD era leaks got out then I would be surprised if people on the periphery of the band are still allowed to have those things. The core of TB will of course, given they have positions they didn't back in the day but anyone outside of that I doubt it.

Visiting this place is like viewing a 2006 time capsule, but viewing HTGTH is like stepping into 1998 on some dial up shit.

I thought the same thing. When the Glastonbury one dropped I thought maybe it could be used as the intro to Absurd or something. But the end of this one reminds me of the outro of CD almost. It’s the faint horns to me at the end

Here is the one from months ago. I said at the time what i thought parts of it could be and i'm sure i was slated for it. They have posted another twitter video with the same audio as this today but it's shorter.

I just want this fucking song to come out asap and have it over with

Is It possible that the music on that promotional video IS from the general?

Parts of it maybe, at least we will know soon. I'm looking foreword to ripping The General apart with stem splitters and messing around with it.
