I thought Slash killed it on Sorry....Axl too. Pretty badass imo.
However, I would rather hear The Seeker any day of the week over Slither. The Who vs Vr? No brainer......
Forget all the petty bullshit. Guns is kicking a shit ton of ass right now.
I know I'm in the huge minority but I love how they perform The Seeker! I really don't understand the overwhelming hate that song gets. With that being said, I saw them perform that song last time, so I'd prefer Slither, Breakdown, Yesterdays, another CD song, etc. if given the choice. But if they do play it, and it looks like they will, I will rock the F out to it! If no one joins me, so be it.

I'll be there. Can't wait!

Watched a very interesting HBO documentary called The Newburgh Sting over the weekend. As with all documentaries, it was slanted one way, but it left me questioning how open and honest the government is with us, and how much corruption takes place and we're lied to so we can sleep easier at night. Seemed like a pretty clear case of entrapment to me.
#345 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Set-List » 480 weeks ago
I'm not going to try to play setlist doctor about what flows better but personally, I have no desire to hear Knockin or LALD ever again. Your average concert go-er may feel differently but I've heard those songs a billion times since the 90s.
I love "The Seeker", personally. I downloaded it and listen to it on my runs everyday.
When they played it in Detroit, you could tell the whole band, especially Axl dug playing it. There was a giant shift in energy when they kicked it off.
Yep, what "flows" better for one, probably differs for others. What's most important is what the band thinks is best. If that's The Seeker, so be it. Again, I could probably pick 15 songs I'd rather hear or think would fit better or be more well received. But my opinion means very little in the grand scheme of things. I'm not the one performing the song and my listening pleasure won't be ruined by its inclusion.

I'd rather hear another GNR song than The Seeker too, but there must be a reason it's a regular. I suppose Axl enjoys singing it and the band enjoys playing it. I won't lose any sleep over it.
#347 Re: Guns N' Roses » 3/7/16 SOLDIER FIELD, CHICAGO, IL UNITED STATES » 480 weeks ago
If this show has the least amount of tickets sold, I have a good idea....
bust out a very unique set list. Its unlikely but would cause some people to buy tickets to both shows in their area just so they don't miss out on something extra.
Yeah, I wanted to attend both shows in Foxboro but only bought tickets for the first night. Variation in the setlists would quite possibly persuade me to make the plunge for night 2. But if Chicago is any indication, it doesn't look like that's in the cards. I'll have to settle for going all out for one killer night!
#348 Re: Guns N' Roses » Any Rumors on Opening Acts? » 482 weeks ago
To be honest, I don't know The Cult from The Cure LOL. Checked them out on Youtube..."Fire Woman" was the one song I knew...others seemed like they were more Depeche Mode new age-ish or something. I'm a little disappointed. I think for a stadium tour...one of the most anticipated tours in years...that they could have gotten better opening acts.
They could have, sure. But they didn't need to. Some shows sold out and pretty much all of them sold very well without even announcing any openers.

This girl could literally radicalize at any moment.
Edit, she probably already is.
I'm all for free speech, but at the very least people who admit openly to such hatred should be monitored closely if not incarcerated on the spot. Unfortunately we're too loose when it comes to situations like this and there's only so much that's allowed. These people are allowed to go about their lives, spew hate, and we just hope they're all talk and no action. That doesn't work. We need to tighten up. Unfortunately there are a lot of hate groups out there. People who hate different types of people based on race, sexual proclivity, nationality, etc. It'd be near impossible to lock everyone up who doesn't quite seem right. I don't know what the answer is.

This is like so 10 hours ago lol. Yes pretty cool. I know some will be pissed because prior to the shows many said "why would Axl sing anything from VR or Slash, that isn't GNR and CD is".
I certainly wouldn't be opposed to it, but I would be surprised. I think it would be a good sign though if Axl was willing to sing a VR track or two. Still would rather hear Messages though. That song never really got noticed by the public. If they broke thst out people would probably think it's a new GNR song and I'd imagine it would be well received. Would be sort of a nice tribute to Scott too if they wanted to go in that direction.
