I don't address "issues at hand"? Find one thread here where I dodged something. I do a pretty damn good job at finding facts that back up whatever statements I post, and its pretty insulting to be told I sit around dodging your points and using liberal as an "out".
As far as you guys saying "its over", don't count your chickens before they hatch. We've yet to have the October surprise, and if we go to war with Iran or some crisis erupts in eastern Europe, McCain is gonna dance into the White House.
OK, then. Let's go through the issues if you think I lean to the left enough to be called a liberal.
1. Abortion. Strongly against it. But it doesn't affect me personally on a day to day basis.
2. Energy. I work in the fucking oil industry, so you should have a pretty damn good idea of what I think on this issue.
3. Health care. Not a fan of universal health care at all. I don't want to foot that bill. Hope it never gets passed into law.
4. Guns. Can't stand gun control.
5. Embryonic stem cell research. Against it.
6. Global warming. Being significantly overexaggerated by the left. Blaming humans for something that has a proven cyclical effect throughout history is pretty comical coming from the people (Gore, I'm looking straight at you) who are driving around in SUV's, living in mansions that use a ton of electricity, and flying in private jets.
7. Gay marriage. Against it. But it does not affect me in my day to day life.
There's one issue I am "liberal" on, and it has everything to do with my own interpretation of what Jesus would do as well as being concerned about my own well being (potentially getting dragged into a politician's agenda all because we have no troops right now due to the Iraq fiasco):
1. War.
That's it. It is really the only issue I vote on right now because McCain is a complete jackass on it. If he showed at least some semblance of being willing to use diplomacy, I would be highly inclined to vote for him since I think, especially, he has a better position on energy which is the next most important issue I feel.

So let me get this straight, you "hope" there is a tape of Michelle Obama saying "Whitey" so that way Barack Obama will not become the next President. I guess when it comes to issues like lowering our taxes, listening to sound economic advisors or crafting good foreign policy relations you don't care about that in a President.
Oh I'm pretty sure he does, but he thinks Obama will be the bigger disaster for our economy than McCain, even though he doesn't like McCain either. I'm pretty sure, judging by Phil Gramm's legislation and his status as McCain's economic adviser, that McCain would be the one leading us even further into the ground. Either way though, I don't think there's really much either can do at this point to turn the economic fate of this country around.

As for the tejas, again it was your repeated use of it that was getting on my nerves. The dude thing was sarcastic because you were asking for it. The FactCheck article clearly states exactly what I was saying and I was not trying to "dispute" it at all. The article points out that they've had a number of encounters with that organization over the years.

It's time for this shit to stop, and McCain's constant "tough talk" gives me zero confidence that he would change Bush's foreign policy at all. In fact, he sounds even MORE conservative. Pat Buchanan said McCain would make Cheney look like a pacifist. That scares the hell out of me given the current state of our military and our reputation.

She's attended at least one party convention and has spoken directly to their 2008 convention in a video segment (I've seen it on YouTube). That's at least 2 encounters. In other words, your assertion that she's only encountered them one time is not backed up by the FactCheck.org article, which makes note of at least two instances where she encountered them. And her husband's longtime membership counts as a 3rd encounter. That is also backed up in the FactCheck article.

Palin was elected mayor of Wasilla two years later. The McCain campaign says Sarah Palin went to the 2000 AIP convention, also held in Wasilla, 'as a courtesy since she was mayor.' As governor, Palin sent a video message to the 2008 convention, which is available on YouTube, and the AIP says she attended in 2006 when she was campaigning.

I understand attacking patriotism, but associating with an anarchist, and the secession party are two totally different things. Obama had several encounters with Ayers, with the Palin's only ONCE with the AIP.

First of all, it's tejas...not tej. Second of all, the Palins haven't encountered just "once" with the AIP. Sarah spoke at their 2008 convention and both of them have attended the conventions several times in the last 15 years. Todd Palin was an actual member for a number of years. That is not a one time thing.
