#31 Re: Guns N' Roses » Will GNR release new music in 2021? » 202 weeks ago

I was watching some of last nights show when I happen to notice Franks drum kit... it is wrapped in what to me looks like the stars from CD artwork. Probably means nothing.

#32 Re: Guns N' Roses » When do we hear Hardskool? » 203 weeks ago

I was listening to some of the instrumental Village recordings and i couldn't help but think of how hard it must have been to try and write lyrics to those mostly complete tracks.. especially with everything going on in Axl's life at the time.

I would like to see original CD tracks rerecorded and then add some of the stuff that would be on CD2

Chinese Democracy (Live intro)
Riad (intro cut out, right to the heavy drums, tuned down, no ahs sung by axl)
IRS
Absurd
Oh My God
State Of Grace
Atlas
Hardskool
Better
TWAT
This I Love
The General

That and release the other songs as the 'CD 2' and then move on and record original stuff with the band. Release anything else as boxset and all that fun stuff down the road. I REALLY would love to hear those songs re done with stripped down production and some slight arrangement changes. Prostitute is one of the only ones i don't think Slash could really help much on from CD.

Wasn’t there legal action by Pittman? Maybe releasing this is a part of a settlement?

hmm.. Axl did say at the end of Abusrd last night; "Now wasn't that like a spoonful of sugar, helps that medicine go down. "

I'm probably looking to much into it lol

I was looking at the credits and noticed it says; Written by: Guns N Roses
it made me wonder if this is a way around naming all the people who would have been involved in not only Absurd, but all of CD2. While also being something the big three had to agree on moving forward. I'm no expert on how song credits and all that go but...what if each member had signed a contract with the GNR entity and essential signed rights of any parts they write to the GNR entity? Is that even possible?
If so I stand by something i said when this started, Axl planned the reunion for many years.
Axl had his band(s) just record endless amounts of ideas and pieced together whatever stuck for damn near 20 years of time. He can use whatever he wants. He sits and waits until 20 years, calls it the Not In This Lifetime tour after famously saying that to the paparazzi, and now has 2 albums of material that many have thought 'if it just had Slash..' and he now has Slash and Duff. Axl has had all the time in the world to pick at lyrics and tinker, if he can't put this stuff out at this point with Slash and Duff willing and able than put a fork in GNR forever.
But it appears that's not the case. And i'm excited as hell for what's to come.

Does anybody remember a remix version of Better that was on YouTube? It had a really high quality video of animations, like some skulls and laser beams moving to the bass. It started with only the bass guitar with huge sound and periodically paused like a record skipping. I believe there was a drum loop later on and chopped up lyrics. Anyways it's been deleted off my playlist for sometime and was wondering if anyone also heard this.

Well obviously a shot at me, but i did read the whole article as well as others. It's started already and once the ball starts rolling its damn near impossible to stop. People like you who scoff and say its nothing piss me off, one day when it comes full circle people will wish they cared.

Not really surprised, this has gotten so far out of hand with people trying to make all these "victims" happy for so long. Grow up and fuck you PC SJW left pukes.

Something I was thinking about was how much thought Axl has put into the reunion, over the course of several years. Basically i believe Axl had an idea of how a reunion type deal would play out years in advance. Is it coincidence that it happened after 20 years and near AFD 30? I believe Axl knew what he'd do back when he said the famous quote that became the tour name, just like The Eagles did years before.. nothing to keep that allure alive then stir the pot every now and again, convince people it would never happen. Albums don't sell but documentaries and boxsets that come with NITL footage and maybe, an album do and im starting to think everyone is doing there side projects now before the last leg and then they maybe will try and wrap something up and release something and continue the NITL based on said release.

Keeping Frank and bringing on Melissa when Zig Zag, Sorum, Adler are all willing and able is also embarrassing. The shows were fun but this could have been so much more epic. Glad they all made a lot of money and the tour was a success but Axl was pretty damn lazy and stubborn in many ways.

I'm not sure this is a reunion. Whatever this could be really depends on why the 2 guitarists, DJ and Ron, left at the end of the Vegas shows. If they left for the reasons they said they left for, essentially wanting to write their own music/parts, Axl who stated how he liked what the previous lineup was doing and "has stuff together", and he has played the stuff for Duff and Slash and they "like it and they may be on it". All signs in my opinion point toward Axl possibly being surprised by his two guitarists leaving, realizing that there just was no point in trying to get the public to try and accept some other guitarist who also isn't Slash. Plus the negative feelings they had had mostly dissipated. So no need to have Zig Zag, Sorum, Adler, whoever come back. Because it wasn't meant to be a reunion and why would you want to kick out players that have already laid down all their tracks for CD2?

On the other hand it could also depend on when Paul Tollett started talking to Axl about Coachella....
