next year this time is its 10 year anniversary, so it's our last big chance for the big ol' deluxe edition.

nobody gives a damn about anniversaries (and the ridiculous discussion is going on every single fucking year on all GNR forums, but nothing gets ever out). and even less fucks is given about the remixes, ChiDem leftovers and anything else.
deal with it and stop dreaming.

all they needed was to have some balls and release the stuff.
Slash did have some balls and released two Snakepit albums, both quite cool, I've always liked them.
Axl should have released the original 2000 Intentions album back in 1999. maybe the history would go a different way and we would have much more stuff than now. oh well.

yup, I also remember Tommy went for Alice in Chains tour during that era, maybe.

tbh, I have almost no idea about 2011-14 era, I almost stopped following them by that time. I guess there might be some hidden gems from that era, damn... RIR 2011 was a disaster, Bridge School was even worse, and in 2012 I already stepped out of the ship, maybe except for when Izzy and Robin joined the band onstage. after the 2010 disaster in Prague, they seemed to totally skip the country in 2012 tour, they only played in the neighbouring countries (it seems they picked Slovakia instead of Czech Republic! but I wasn't interested in seeing them by that time).
from 2013-14 I only remember the Golden Gods Awards performance, which I considered strange, the band seemed worn out. maybe I only noticed the band, because they met Duff in London, and then he alternated with Tommy somehow. weird times. I only completed my collection from those years retrospectively.
anyway, thanks for the link smile

I think Axl deliberately wanted to use very weak vocals in Maddy, but it sort of didn't work well here.

we're having an academical discussion here again, wow!
in my opinion, what matters is recording and releasing stuff. this band is doing zero off this for about 10 years already. so it doesn't really matter if they have pink clown on guitar, as long as the only thing they "produce" are profits off nostalgia touring.

Ashba killed any remaining interest from me. I tried my best to support the guy and initially that kind of worked in his favour since Axl just sounded so damn good at the beginning in 2009/2010 (he looked worse for wear but I couldn't care less), but from there on out it was a downward spiral like we've never witnessed before.

I vividly remember the Rock In Rio "performance" in 2011... Streamed online for the world to see. That was the straw which broke the camel's back - what a fucking disaster.

Not to mention the Bridge School Benefit or that Appetite for Democracy rubbish.

Of course this wasn't down to DJ but he's the epitome of what I consider to be a stereotype rock star and I just can't deal with that type of personality. All I could ever see was a Slash copycat and I couldn't get past it.

Writing had always been on the wall with the post-1996 incarnation of GN'R but A) Robin leaving in the wake of CD's release and B) Axl picking a fight with a paparazzo in an airport before the supporting tour had even begun should've sent the alarm bells ringing at full speed.

I had a chance to see them in 2010 but opted not to. For reference I saw them 4 times in 3 different countries back in 2006. I think that speaks volumes. Really, I stopped giving a crap after we finally got the album.

The sad truth is the very day Buckethead left it was already over.

19 years were spent essentially sullying one man's career/reputation and for what? Virtually nothing of worth.

yup, same here. I loved the 2006 tour, and I was also hyped by the 2009 tour. 2010 started kind of well, so I bought tickets for September 2010 in Prague. it was a huge disaster. after the opener (decent Danko Jones) there was a pause over 1 hour, after which people started leaving and demanding refundal. announcer then said that the show would star within another 1 hour. the performance itself was quite mediocre, from what I remember the only really shining point was Richard, whom I never considered a good performer, but that time he stole the show, he was all over it, with a huge grin on his face, eyes wide open, looking like possessed. the rest of the band sounded quite tired.
and still, I was there when Rio 2011 happened, realising how futile is it all. and I stopped to care for the whole "DJ Era".

I hope to hear the unreleased Chinese Democracy / CD2 material some day but will be forever let down we didn't get many long years of collaboration between pseudo-asian Axl and space alien Finck and technobot Buckethead.

don't forget Brain - he and Bucket were a good team.

I really liked the band performance at that event. just Axl blew it up (as always). reportedly he got stuck in a traffic jam on the way to the event, but for the sake of God why can't he be somewhere at least remotely on time? his fault.

maybe just removing the channel with BBF would reveal whatever is buried there. and yes, I believe this was some practice track or something like that, not a mix meant to be heard by the people.
