If he wanted to release new music he would. But he's clearly afraid to Mister Rose that is.
Also losing two talents: Buckethead with his phenomenal ability and yes Robin Finck with his songwriting and guitar abilities does hurt you.
I don't see how anyone else doesn't find it kind of sad they are covering a song that someone else wrote and he's not in your band anymore.
I think it says a lot about the Captain of the ship not the people that left.
Hopefully, Mister Rose tour goes successful. But DJ Ashba ruins any song I see him in. Too gimmicky and just doesn't come off as someone I can take remotely serious like Buckethead and Robin Finck. Yes Buckethead wears a Bucket on his head and you might say that is a gimmick. I disagree. It is a layer of comfort and he isn't playing it up. Also, the guy let's his talent speak for himself.
Add this to my hate on DJ Ashba posts.
As for Slash he is talented as well. I ain't going to compare him to Buckethead different styles.
However, post Slash losing your best talent: Finck and Buckethead makes your efforts of creating new music troublesome, plus it showcases you're the problem in the equation clearly.

bet over HTGTH they are saying this was the greatest gnr show of all time haha
Clearly, they are giving people the kool-aid on how rocking the show was.
I am glad I haven't been to a show since the Hammerstein Ballroom 2006. Post Robin would ruin it for me.

I dig Ron's Robin esque look.
I shudder when I see DJ Tanner, seriously I can't get into that guy at all.

When the Fink Tank left, the band lost all legitimate post Slash in my eyes.
Too bad Kurt Cobain killed himself, it would be awesome to see him bury bands like Guns N' Roses again.
However, Axl did mighty fine in that department with the huge blunder Chinese Democracy was.
Who doesn't promo your own album? Oh wait only an idiot would stay at home and twiddle their thumbs and not get back their CD guitarists.
I used to care about this band, but time went on and they're in the I am embarrassed I actually liked that artist category.

Everything is all about the individual. That is the point. You don't like something because it speaks to others, you like it because it speaks to you. If GnR as it currently sits isn't doing anything for me, I have the right to be bothered by it. If I feel it's Axl's fault, I have the right to be bothered by that too. Hooray for those that are getting what they want. I'm not, and it's not because of anything I did.
Again the thing is for me Robin left before and came back, why not again?
Anyhow, I get to see Josh Freese tomorro with Devo and it is going to be sick. That guy was the best drummer that GN'R only had briefly. Saw him play with Weezer a while back, so good.

I really can't explain it, but ever since Ashba joined, me whole stance on this being GNR has changed. And before everybody gets all excited about the revolving door prior; I am well aware of how many people came and went in GNR before Ashba joined.
But for some reason, even when Bucket disappeared and Ron replaced him, then Brain disappeared -mid tour- and Frank replaced him, I still viewed it as Guns N' Roses. It very much felt, sounded and looked like Guns N' Roses to me.
But something changed around the time Ashba joined. Literally ever since that day, it hasn't felt like Guns N' Roses to me anymore. As I said, I know it's weird/odd, whatever, but it's my true feelings.
That's exactly how I feel brother.
I just think when you lose every guitarist from your Chinese Democracy era, that it becomes a joke. I like Ron, but without the Finck Tank, I can't accept. I know that it has had a revolving door, but still. Robin Finck has been on and off in the band since 1998 and losing him just blew in my mind.

They come off as douche bags, DJ Ashba and Axl.
I doubt you would ever see Robin Finck rough someone up in this manner even if they were being belligerent.
This is where you see the difference I think from Finck and Ashba. Ashba you get a douche bag that thinks he is cool (first step in not being cool is to think you're cool) and to "brag" about this is actually lame.
I hope that the stuff Buckethead and Robin worked on does get released. Those two guys seem more serious artists I don't think you would see Robin Finck trying to whore himself out and brand himself like DJ Ashba. He Finck in my opinion is a serious artist.
Anyhow, I don't mean to turn this into a him versus him discussion.
But I have no interest in this band with DJ Ashba involved, to me it is as embarrassing as liking Bon Jovi.
