#4091 Re: Guns N' Roses » KFRQ plays Baz/Axl song Back in the Saddle » 932 weeks ago

Had a listen to the track thanks to a certain board member who hooked me up with a link, and yeah, Axl sounds good, but the song does sound a bit dated. Nevertheless, it does sound like something cool to crank up in my car when I'm driving around in summertime, which is only around the corner here in Oz.

Yep, like most everyone else here, I was around at the old ROV site after being invited over from HTGTH by Pride&Glory.

I'm Alex, a 29 year old guitar-playing Australian guy with a mad passion for all things rock n' roll since back in 1992 discovering THE greatest rock n' roll band to ever exist - GN'R (of course).
After that, it didn't take me long to go on to become the obsessed Guns/Slash/Axl fan that I am today, whilst discovering a whole lot of other kickass bands along the way, and also meeting some other cool like minded people like those that are here on this board.

I'm a graphic designer (print media) working in the marketing department for Fraser Motorcycles / Ducati Motorcycles Australia & New Zealand. The work can be a shit sometimes, but I love motorcycles, so it has it's pluses!

Really sorry to hear that DTJ, my deepest condolences to you and your family.

My grandfather passed away last Tuesday, and although he didn't have cancer, he was also not in a very good state, and I'm glad he is no longer suffering anymore.

I actually made up my own 2-disc 'hits' compilation to listen to in the car a few years ago so I didn't have carry all their cds, and I made something like this which I think are their biggest songs/hits. This was prior to St Anger being released, so there are no songs from there on it, but it fit nicely onto 2 almost-full cds.

Hit the Lights
Jump In The Fire
Whiplash
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Fade to Black
Creeping Death
Battery
Master of Puppets
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Last Caress/Green Hell
Blackened
One
Harvester of Sorrow

Cd 2
Enter Sandman
Sad but True
The Unforgiven
Wherever I may Roam
Nothing Else Matters
Until It Sleeps
King Nothing
Hero of the Day
Mama Said
Fuel
The Memory Remains
The Unforgiven II
Turn the Page
Whiskey in the Jar
Die, Die My Darling

#4097 Re: The Sunset Strip » Went and saw The Foo Fighters During ROV hiatus » 934 weeks ago

I've seen them many times live over the years, and being the big fan of them that I am I'm probably biased, but they do put on a great live show. Dave is a very passionate performer and a funny fucker too. Always entertaining to watch.

Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace

And it hasn't left my cd player since I bought it. Really great album.
