@ Manets & Will thank you both very much

Simply put the rock n roll demographic at the time consisted of a lot of Ted Nugent type rednecks. That stopped being the case in the 90s.
I don't really think it was written to garner public attention. I don't think Axl could be considered a racist for it. The song was a narrative piece following a character who WAS a racist. To say that Axl is a racist for writing 1 in a million is like saying John Grisham is racist for writing the racist characters in "A Time to Kill".

I am convinced anyway and yes I do want it. As far as remixes go it's got a nice late evening roff top nightclub chill-out vibe to it

I see the pistols as a very different comparison.
Weren't they basically a manufactured band with no musical ability dreamed up by Malcolm McLaren to promote his alternative culture store ? Turned out they got popular and started the punk movement but the reason it died in the ass was it was fake from the beginning so it had no place to go.
To me GNR is the polar opposite of that. Whatever else they are, the guys in GNR were real, with real musical ability, real drive to create stuff and nothing simulated about it.
The last word I would use to describe the Pistols would be "fake." Izzy himself was once quoted that the last kick in the ass rock and roll received before GN'R was the Pistols. Regardless of how they were formed, the members themselves weren't fakes. They had an edge to them that was severely lacking in pretty much all of the mainstream music at that time. They had a volatility to them that earned them the name "world's most dangerous band." Sound familiar?
And yet they were assembled in the same way bands from X-Factor and Idol shows are assembled.
If the sex pistols aren't "fake" then neither is Kelly Clarkson, One Direction, Leona Lewis,
or any of the rest of them.
Regardless of how they were formed? There is no such thing as "regardless of how tey were formed". You might as well say "regardless of the fact that Unicorns don't exist, Unicorns are the greatest animals to walk this earth".
They had the edge that their manager told them to have. The drummer now plays in a band with members of Girl and Def Leppard "Man-Raze".
Johhny Rotten makes butter adverts and was more interested in new-wave synth pop than he ever was in "Rock". In fact he's quite scathing about "rock music". Steve Jones writes pop tunes and he's damned good at it, meanwhile their bassist is dead because he WASN'T tough enough to endure his own make believe image.
Did you know that Steve played all his bass-parts on the record before he joined the band by the way?
I've also heard motley crue described as the worlds most dangerous band, empty meaningless words used to promote "badass muthfuckers" to teenage boys.
I can show you, right now a hundred artists with more merit than both GNR and the Sex Pistols put together, but because they have no marketing machine behind them telling you how "hardcore" their image is you won't pay any attention.

There's not 10 tracks.
There's maybe ten tracks.

Hmmm.
I find comments like "I'm afraid to say what is more likely, because then you guys will go crazy on that." kind of frustrating. Say something, or don't.
So there's 10 new leaks? That sounds like a lot.
If there are TEN new leaks all at once, it's safe to assume the record label is doing this to pressure yet another release. OR an old manager put this in motion before being fired. Doc Mc Ghee or somebody.
I don't like the "Oh and Ps The world is gonna end" appraoch of tacking that comment on at the end

Well I love it. Ti reminds me of a more rocky version of that band "fun.". Very cool. Very , modern, and the solo reminds me of captain crash. Sexy.

The easiest answer is a quite simple one: that's how it has always been. The full answer is more complex than that, but that in a nutshell is the reason.
As I've said many times I don't own a gun or wish to own a gun. I do like the fact that if I decide I do want to own a gun in the future (for whatever reason), I can follow the process and get one legally.
Generally speaking, we enjoy being able to do whatever we want to do (within reason), and being told we can't do something we've been allowed to do forever (whatever it is) isn't going to go over well.
Good reading of the situ.
I'm not making an argument for college education more often than not it's of no use nowadays. I agree with you there.
But, I don't buy the idea that a mans decisions are the most powerful factors in defining his life.
I believe that more often than not, people make the right decisions but circumstances out of their control simply do not let them get ahead.
There is no system built into reality or the Constitution that rewards you for your good decisions and punishes you for your bad ones.
If there was everybody would be making the right decisions and reaping the rewards. For every example you can give me of someone who has made all the right decisions and reaped the benefits I can show you 10 more where the right decisions were made and people were punished as a result.
As for Doing your most with what you have, moderated socialism gives those who have nothing that very opportunity.
I'm no hippy. I'm not extremely left leaning, I'm quite right wing about many issues. I would love to live in a world where an ideal like "making the right decisions leads to profit" was actually true. Most of us live like that anyway. If making the right decisions paid, I'd be a billionaire 10 times over. That concept simply does not apply to the real world.
