We'll know when its done when Bach tells us, right?

Hey, maybe Bach is GNR's new manager? Sure talks like it.

I might go visit that HTGTH thread and really blast that dick. Maybe I can get myself banned from there.

#4643 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » 3 new Bucket cds! » 920 weeks ago

CC, yeah, some of this year's stuff has been shit. He basically cleaned out his vault of all unreleased stuff for the "In Search of The" box set. There are some great songs and incredible playing in there, but there's like 70 songs, and maybe 20 are good for listening over and over. Basically 2 CDs worth.

Blueprints was a remaster of a tape. Only for completists. Sound quality is poor, but Track 1 is one of his poppiest/best/catchiest songs ever. He's never revisited that track like he did others on Blueprints. He's played it live once, 4.16.06, available on archive.org.

"DCK" is Death Cube K. If you like Bucket as Death Cube K, get it. If not, forget it.

If you want the classic Buckethead from this year, there are 3 to get, basically. Pepper's Ghost, Acoustic Shards and Decoding the Tomb of the Bansheebot.

There is no Praxis-like stuff from this year.

Bucket didn't tour this year, like he has every spring and fall since leaving GNR, so he basically just released lots of stuff for his fans.

Lemme get on a soapbox here and deliver a little smackdown. I'm not gonna fault Bucket for releasing so much this year, and no GNR fan should, considering we're here because of a guy/band who hasn't released a CD since 1993. We bitch, moan and complain about Axl not releasing stuff, but we're gonna criticize Bucket for releasing so much. That's the definition of a hypocrite. Don't be one. You either think a musician should release stuff or not. The number of releases is irrelevant.

Here's the real truth on Bach.

From the likes of this photo, I would say that Bach deep down wants to be a chick so that would explain his lust for Axl.

Seriously, you're trying to say Bach is gay? Try again.

Besides, what would it matter? Can't ge gay and rock and admire fellow musicians? Ask Rob Halford about that.

I jumped up two more places this week! I'm coming for you, Tommie!

#4647 Re: Guns N' Roses » How we will know for sure that CD is done » 920 weeks ago

A release date from Universal is a good start. But I'd also need a single on the radio. There's almost no turning back at that point.

I respect your opinion, bigbri.

But, this logic makes absolutely no sense.

The leaks prove that Axl has went into a studio and did some recording in the past 15 years. It proves absolutely NOTHING else.

The only thing that we do know for certain is that Axl and his band have done 3 separate tours in the past 6 years, and still no album release. So, as of right now, all we know is that they are definitely touring, and it's most certainly for the money. Now, do you respect that ?

bba

I respect that Axl is making music he is passionate about and doing it his way. True, as Jimmy said, all bands tour for money. But if Axl, Slash and Co. get back together, we know it most likely won't be because they want to make great music, just great money. Big difference. So, Axl tours to make money to keep the band functioning and to keep CD alive in some state. I can accept that. I don't like the situation any more than anyone else, but it is what it is. I don't respect other aspects of Axl's life/career choices.

Now, ask me, do I respect what the other former members have done? No, not really. Slash, Duff and VR ripped me off with their first CD. What a steaming pile of trash. I didn't fall for it with CD No. 2, and the singles I heard on the radio prove I made the right choice. Duff's solo CD? Embarassing lyrics, average music. Another ripoff. Snakepit? Not a ripoff, per se, but coming off GNR's success, a major dud. Neurotic Outsiders? Wow, just wow. A bad attempt at punk when crappy punk bands at the time ruled the charts.

Like I said before, the only guy I respect still is Izzy. Still writes great songs. Doing things his way and not really getting involved in the trash talk generally.

#4649 Re: Guns N' Roses » If there is a reunion, where do people stand? » 921 weeks ago

I am a GNR fan. I support the band, not individuals. I want to hear CD. If hearing CD means there is no reunion, then that's what I want. I've lost all respect for everyone associated with the original lineup except for Izzy. So, if Slash or Duff or Matt or whoever never touches anything associated with GNR again, I won't give a shit.

I lived through the original GNR hype. It was great. It can never be duplicated, so a reunion won't live up to the expectations.

Also, as has been previously said, if they get together just to tour, it's clearly for the money, and I don't respect that. And before you say that's what Axl is doing now, we know he is creating music by the leaks, so don't go there.

I don't worship Fortus. Don't care one way or the other, but how is this any worse than Slash playing with Blackstreet? Or Paulina Rubio? Or ... should I go on?
