i like talking to sober people when i'm drunk. especially those fucking born-again evangelist motherfuckers.
Ahh hey, I wasn't firing at you John, just sayin' in general.
And yes, my mates and I used to love getting hammered on a Friday and getting into it with the Scientologists who used to try to recruit on one particlar city corner.
The days of my youth!
Those Dicks on Abbey St ? They nabbed me one night for a "personality test". Fucking weird bastards. Didn't take it of course, just laughed in their faces... angrily.
On topic: Axl is a dick, Slash is less of a dick. And between the two stands the Lebeis family, the only ONLY people on the face of the planet who stand to lose big time from a gnr reunion. Go figure.

The best ditty band ever to write pop songs.
Get a load of them:

Song for Whoever

The Sarcasm in their lyrics is amazing.

I can do leads I can master too. Here's a piece of rock n roll I wrote recorded and mastered lately:

I'm happy to do either.

Pretty crazy. You would think after seeing so many dead bodies up there that people would know what they are doing is ridiculous and foolish.
You could make the same argument for joining the armed forces.

I've read the first 5 books. There is some unbelievable shit on its way!

AL deserves repeated listening.
I found the record oddly sterile despite the stellar guitar work but I've come to appreciate it more and more.
Yes Sterile! I totally understand that and feel much the same about it to be honest!
So sterile in fact that the idea of repeated listening grates with me. I love slash's post gnr work but this is just not on par for me.
#469 Re: Guns N' Roses » Down By The Ocean Speculation » 702 weeks ago
'Box' and 'Down by the Ocean' are two different songs.
I believe you for some reason, you're trading on good stock I suppose. Would be great to hear some proof nonetheless.
#470 Re: The Sunset Strip » Soundgarden Discussion (King Animal out NOW!) » 703 weeks ago
Soundgarden never were and never will be mainstream faire. It doesn't matter where they chart this album will not blow up.
The chance it did have for blowing up was if it hijacked the hipster bandwagon that the likes of Jack White and the Black Keys are riding. They're too metal, it's not gonna happen.
This is an album for the hardcore fans. They probably managed to pull this off because individually, the members of Soundgarden ARE Soundgarden's most hardcore fans.
Each of them loves that band you can hear it when they play and see it in interviews, they wouldn't risk fucking it up with a mainstream sounding album, so we cannot really ask for mainstream type success.
Anyway why would you want it to go mainstream? I have memories of Chris' "Part of me" blaring at college parties a few years back. I don't want that for rowing or eyelids mouth. Those are songs I want to enjoy alone or with other people who relate to the music as I do. I don't want them as the soundtrack to a night on the tiles or my morning trip to work.
They're too fucking good for that.
