New GNR exposes a cultural divide I feel. Those mullet-headed conservatives, secretly liking the music or not, will go to their death bed claiming they hate it, because it ain't yesteryears "apple-pie on the 4th of July with a Camarro" GNR. In other words, they will hate it, even though much of it is brilliant. Those typically more culturally exposed to new tastes, constantly exploring and probing the world for new art, ideas, etc. understand, appreciate it, and allow themselves to love the new sound for what it is--brilliance!

No it's not dude. The media created that monster WAY WAY WAY back in the day. Like the late 80's/early 90's.
The Mick Wall's or Bob Guccione, Jr.'s of the world created that speculation about Axl and his core group of friends. Then when Slash came out and basically said the same stuff after everything with the original GN'R soured, it just reenforced everyone's belief in it.
Just because SOME fans are gulliable and believe anything someone tells them, doesn't mean they're the ones talking shit. We only read the articles, we don't write them.
dude, i remember how it was back in the day. i am aware the shit talking didn't start just recently. what i'm talking about is stuff i read on these forums....and i'm assuming people who are on a gnr forum are fans of gnr. if they're not, and they choose to join a band forum just to talk shit, then they have waaaaaay too much time on their hands!!!!!!!!!:drool:

whenever someone says anything nice or sticks up for axl, they get called a kiss ass. i've heard it said before about sebastian. and now people are saying it about del and marc canter. does this seem weird to anyone else but me? am i crazy or something? why don't people who do the same for slash get called ass kissers? seriously................

I don't care if Del and Axl are your best friends. You're not gonna talk down to people here like that.
Learn how to make your point without insulting people for having an opinion. If you either cant or are unwilling to learn that, your stay here is going to be short.
i don't know axl or anyone else in guns n roses. i never said i did. i'm sticking up for del because people are calling him obsessed and a kiss ass, which i think is pretty (frickin) rude!

Well Paxcow, there's no reason to get upset over all of this. Perception is just that, perception. It's not written in stone.
So I won't, and DO NOT judge him on that.
But I do judge him on his comments in 2006. Even if he was stone cold correct, it was still unprofessional.

im not necessarily talking about del, but gnr has way too many people around them who have nothing to do with the band, but leech of them like they are the founder or something.
