I seriously don't understand how people can dismiss Ride The Lightning like that, it has some incredible music on it, things that have inspired so widely, not just in metal, but way beyond. Admittedly it wasn't that big a record at the time, but looking at it now, I think its way more influential than a lot of the other records on the list. But then again I'm a huge Metallica fan, so I would say that.

Oh and I vote NIN this round too, never really thought that much of any of their albums save for the odd song here and there

i like this version, it sounds quite cool. ive done nearly the opposite to it, making the piano the main instrument and keeping a few other parts here and there. i might upload it later if people are interested

Thats true, theres nothing to say its a new ad, and theres also nothing to say GnR wont tour or record something with DJ in the future at some point. I didn't post that ad to have a go at DJ or anything, I just thought some people on here might be interested.

Seriously though, is there any real chance of us ever hearing any GnR material with DJ on it? And i don't just mean him doing an overdub of what someone else has already recorded 15,000 times. Sorry for being skeptical, but after this business with the moggs and MSL and stuff, im just feeling slightly cynical towards this whole business. Im hoping something will come along and prove me wrong.

oh yeah i no, i was just saying i thought it was kind of amusing in this situation. its not just the hat, its the guitar, the way the photos done, the way its like oooh look its GnR, everything lol

Just in case noones actually realised or knows this, the mogg is 14 MONO tracks, they are meant to be paired together into 7 stereo tracks. thats why some of em look exactly the same.
