I suspect that is why you can never have a debate about it. Everybody knows what is looming just under the surface. Will you be fostering any Of these unwanted children? Will you be one of those that gleefully takes away free school meals? Will you adopt any of these unwanted children? Will you weep when one is found dead due to massive neglect? When this child grows up and obtains a scholarship instead of your child because they grew up poor or are a minority?
Or are you just gonna get up on your high horse and wash your hands of any of the responsibilities associated with you telling another person that they must carry the baby?
I think the people who survived abortions (yes, this happens) would disagree with you.
For me, it’s one of those things that i could never do…but don’t feel comfortable telling others what to do either

Another interesting question...with all the drama surrounding GB and Rodgers I fully expect Rodgers to have an outstanding season. Is it really reasonable to think this will be his last year in GB?

Man...you said it. I don't know if there is any reason any more to have faith in Nagy. He's willing to waste a few games, let alone an entire season because he insists on being inflexible.

What's most astonishing about the Cam Newton thing is that just a few years ago he was the league MVP and in the super bowl, right?
I'd really like to know more about why Carolina just gave up on him....and my how the mighty have fallen.

The great thing about baseball is there are those old gems still left.
Sadly, I never got to go to Tigers Stadium or Yankee Stadium (the og).
I've been to Wrigley and Fenway. I don't know which one I prefer. Both cities are phenomenal. The ghosts of the past in both though.
Yup...that's the thing we would lose if we ever tore down Wrigley and made something new. First, how many baseball parks are just in the middle of a residential/light commercial district? Well...now getting a bit more densely commercial since the Ricketts' moved in.
It's something the younger teams just don't have....Tampa Bay, Arizona Diamondbacks, Florida Marlins....these new stadiums built as cheaply as possible on the cheapest possible land usually in the middle of nowhere fringes of the city limits.

I cry like a bitch at various points watching Field of Dreams, no matter how many times I see it. Baseball was my first love as a kid and I remember fondly going to many games at Fenway Park.
Oh god same...I don't know how they do it. How do they make such a fictional movie seem so real?
'Hey Dad....wanna have a catch?' - That one gets me every time. But the reality is he's having catch with his Dad who is now younger than him...doesn't make a bit of difference does it?

This is one of those movies that I haven't watched in decades and is long overdue for a rewatch.
It would be like watching a new film...and might be better from an adult perspective.
Having said that...never really been into baseball movies.
Yea...I'm not sure about what your relationship was with your dad...this movie has a way of romanticizing the past. The older you get, the more it punches you...
It's not really about baseball if you ask me. Although it has a lot to do with the backdrop of the movie.

I'm serious though...what are talking about for real? Is this the whole Nixon 'respect us as we leave' thing? We're embarrassed as a country. Rightfully so...but you have to admit this whole thing was a house of cards to begin with....
