Yeah, but there are things in there that sound completely delusional and a simple youtube search could get those facts straight. Remember that this is a book written in 2010, for Christ's sake!
Like, for Rock In Rio II, in January 1990, Duff says that he was pissed cause there was already a horn section and two keyboardists. Actually that only happened after Izzy quit, in December 1991.

Hate to be correcting Russ all the time, but Waters released three solo albums 
:
Pros and Cons of HitchHiking (with Eric Clapton on guitars)
Radio CHAOS
Amused to Death (with Jeff Beck on guitars, Don Henley on some vocals)
Not that it matters to the argument, at all 
If we were to draw a GNR/Floyd comparison, to me, Izzy is Sid Barret, Axl is Waters and Slash is Gilmour.
Ignore the name issue(s).
Izzy and Sid left and released albums that were praised, both critically and by part of the fan base and musical fans - not ex-band fans only.
Axl and Waters wrote most of lyrics and built the identity of the music, both were always worried about pushing the envelope and doing something that would matter.
Slash and Gilmour kept releasing stuff, both Solo and with previous bandmates, but never captured the magic and some might say that not having Axl or Waters to pull the best of them out, they were just good attempts, not very good hits.
Slash, differently from Gilmour, seems to be getting closer to achieve a level of quality that is closer to what he had with his previous band.
(DIsclaimer: I'm not, at any point in this argument, considering public appeal or sales. Just reception of the material, quality).

I've read it last year.
The thing I've noticed is that it was mentioned as being 93 when all other versions pointed to 91/92.
Overall, the book was good, his history is fantastic from being in a condition of panic attacks to having his family erupting to become a rockstar then a junkie then an alcoholic then an athlete.
Fact wise I noticed a few inconsistencies but memory fails everybody.

I think Bucket and Robin were the ones that really lit his inspirational fire. Losing them was more devastating than I think anyone ever figured. I'm still convinced he's still holding out (even if it's just hope) for one or both to come back to the fold.
You forgot to mention Paul Tobias, and I'm not being sarcastic.
Most songs on CD have collaborations between Tobias, Finck and Axl or Tobias and Axl. Bucket's were with Brain and Axl.
The argument of not having anything to release only holds still if they are to ignore the vault completely. They could drop a song that's already written every leg of the tour. If they don't or can't through the label, leak the damn songs using the forums.

You were, for most of my teenage years, the closest to a brother I've ever had. We may have our differences and we certainly believe in different things - some of them the complete opposite - but I'm always interested in your whereabouts.
Grow some fuckin' balls, you're 51, it's time, already!

I don't know, man... Up and until Axl letter, Slash was all over expecting a reunion at the Hall.
For him to come out now, almost a year later, and say he wasn't disapointed or act as "I don't care" to me is lame.
To me that is lying and that is being a revisionist.

A better source than YouTube *I* haven't seen yet.
