Christie destroyed Rubio in that debate. Caught him repeating the same memorized lines over and over and carved him up on the issue of leading as a governor versus speechifying in the Senate. Rubio's timing is not good with this election following Obama's administration. Republicans spent the last 8 years complaining that Obama was too young and inexperienced as a first term Senator to be POTUS. Marco Rubio fits this description as well. He even has really good speaking ability like Obama did, which makes people more likely to think he's a fraud given his lack of experience.

Bernie is appealing for many reasons.
First, he is not bought and paid for by the corporations/wall street/lobbyists/special interests. He does not have a super pac. When you take huge sums of money from corporate interests, they expect favors in return. In fact he is open about how he wants to take on all the special interests and corporate America.
Second, the man has been consistent on the positions for nearly 50 years. He supported gay rights way before it became acceptable for most politicans to do so. He doesn't care about what the polling says. He has stood up for what is right his entire career.
Even if you don't agree with him on the issues, his authenticity is something that is sorely lacking in politics and its hard to deny.
As far as 'free stuff', he wants to make OUR tax dollars work for US. Its our money. Every other major country out there is able to ensure its citizens have access to health care, have affordable higher education, etc.
I don't want free shit. I make a good living and am able to support my family. But I want a government that works for the interests of the middle class.. not the Walton family or Wall Street.
The biggest problem in politics is too much big money influencing the Congress and POTUS to go against what the people really want. Sanders, Ron Paul, and very few others over the last 50 years have been squeaky clean. Those two guys have very different views on the role of government, but they strongly agree that big corporate money is a massive problem. Teddy Roosevelt agreed 100 years ago and somehow we as a country lost our way in this regard. We need more people like Teddy, Bernie, and Ron Paul in our political system.

If Obama didn't make every fucking thing about Race he wouldn't be so bad. But he is so fucking PC and pro minority (Islam too) you can't take him serious.
And now he is going to propose a $10 tax on every barrel of oil. Really good idea when there are a bunch of oil companies about to go bankrupt at $30 oil. As someone who works in the oil industry, I will vote for the GOP candidate no matter what. At least they aren't trying to wipe out my job (along with millions of other oil industry jobs).

I like the solo album. A greatest hits from the past 3 albums would be very impressive.
You mean a Best Of. There is no such thing as Greatest Hits in rock and roll now because there is zero crossover with wide audiences. Gotta be a pop act to have a hit nowadays.

Who is going to get the Huckabee, Paul, etc votes? I guess maybe Rubio or Bush?
Paul supporters are not likely to vote for Establishment candidates like Rubio and Bush. They would go more for Trump/Cruz/Carson.

It's going to be Hilary vs Trump or Cruz. Sanders should be campaigning for VP at this point.
I don't think he wants anything to do with a Hillary administration. She stands for everything he is against, like Wall Street and other lobbyists controlling our politics.
Frankly I don't understand how anyone can vote for Hillary. Between the Iraq War vote and the email server as Secretary of State, this is a person who has repeatedly shown terrible judgment. The email thing alone disqualifies her IMHO. No doubt other countries hacked it and managed to get sensitive national security information.

My friends & I bonded just as much over UYI & Lies as we did AFD.
I think if people listened, or reappraised, the Illusions they'd be genuinely gobsmacked at the dexterity & quality on them.
I'm not necessarily a fan but I know the guy from Biffie Clyro has UYI tattoo & cited it as an influence on one of their albums.
Honestly if people could just get past the noise & bs they'd find two truly mind blowing & inventive rock albums that deserve to rank alongside the all time greats.
Maybe people will come back to them.
They do have an unfair reputation with a lot of people who wanted Appetite Part 2. They aren't perfect. Drop the covers and stupid filler like Shotgun Blues/Get in the Ring/My World and you have a ton of great material. The production quality is not as good as on Appetite and they definitely miss Adler's drumming, but still a lot of great songs on the two Illusion records.

What the hell are we bitching about today? I want the AFD 5, but we all considered the UYI 92-93 years GNR.. There was no Adler and Izzy only played a few shows in 1993. Izzy could be full time in GNR if he wanted. So since it is his choice and he is alive and doing well, that is on Izzy. Izzy made Izzy's bed.
Who cares what Izzy decides. I don't consider the 92-93 time period to be GN'R except for those 93 shows when Izzy came back. But even then it wasn't the real deal because they didn't create any new music.
I'm glad Axl and Slash don't hate each other anymore. That is good to see. Ultimately I would like to hear Axl's voice on an album of new material at some point regardless of who he works with. But it's not GN'R without the Big 4 at a minimum. And it doesn't have to be called GN'R. Nothing wrong with a new name.

Chow, where did the writer say Slash and Axl suck? He called Appetite the greatest album ever. Pretty damn sure he appreciates their talent. The point is it's not GN'R without Izzy. All 4 of those guys were important. Page and Plant wasn't Led Zeppelin in the mid-90's.

It's ridiculous imo.
They can't write a GN'R song without him. They were all important pieces to the puzzle.
