Lucky you, even with my technics and stanton 505 cartridge the inner songs were unlistenable.
TIL sounds gorgeous in vinyl though, has a real old fashioned warmness.

Sweet! Did they play Your're Crazy in 88 or 91? Wonder if they dug out a few oldies last night in tribute to that classic show.

I personally think There Was A Time and This I Love are the only songs that really can be held up to 'the best' of the old band. They're basically the sibilings to Estranged & November Rain. I find Madagascar to be there too, but somedays I wonder if that's just a personal opinion.
The rest are good, but I think are on the same level as comparing VR/Slash/Izzy-solo tracks to the old GN'R catalog.
Madagascar was my favourite when the album was released, I listened to the album the other day for the first time in ages and I feel the same, epic song.
Revisiting it after a long time I think Maddy, TWAT and TIL are the highlights of the album.

I'd love to see a proshot of that 91 gig, the little I've seen looks fantastic.
#579 Re: Guns N' Roses » Niven says Stage Fright Causes Axl's Lateness » 768 weeks ago
I dont doubt Axl has to psych himself up to get out there and perform and the stage fright story will have an element of truth, it must be tough sometimes.
But I believe Axl has just plain milked all his eccentricities because he's knows he can, because of that power he holds over people, he has something they want. Fans, bandmates, promoters, managers - they all swallow his shit and come back for more, he's known this since the day when GNR got signed and he was up on that roof making everybody wait while he did his praying mantis impression.
Becoming a multi millionaire at such a young age killed any chance that he would ever have to change his behaviour, he could afford to be as eccentric as he wanted.
If the guy had to shovel shit every day to put food on the table for his family, you can bet he would have got his act together long ago.

I see Tommy has lined up solo shows in April, including the 14th.
Looks like Axl will be indeed be there.
