deep breath.....the only way Tommy would be out is if they do a full reunion tour. It is real simple. He is also listed as a bandmember on their Myspace page which was updated just yesterday! If he was gone, don't you think they would have removed him as well? Common sense.

JUST FAN BULLSHIT....my god....MADE UP BULLSHIT. I would fucking know as I read Replacements message boards. THERE IS NOTHING. And, if you think Tommy would leave for Soul Asylum, I have a bridge to sell you in New York......he has been messing around periodically for years with SA and hasn't left Gnr. SA is lunch money for Tommy. Gnr pays the fuckin mortgage and everything else.:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

It is kind of ironic Tommy's disconnection with this, coming in finally on the release, that after all these years, the main positions open with the band are Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar & Bass.

Tommy is listed as a bandmember on their official Myspace page? My head is about to explode.:headbang: In multiple recent Replacements articles, it is mentioned that Tommy is currently the bass player for Gnr. Tommy is interviewed in the articles so you know the issue came up! Fuck me. I need a break and some xanax.

3 of 7 current bandmembers have no writing credits-Fortus, Thal, Ferrer. But, on the bright side, 4 do! I told you it was going to be exciting to see who shows up for the tour. Irving won't get another random guy. There is too much at stake. Slash or Bucket I say.....

There are parts of the song that could be about anyone but these few lines strongly suggest Slash:
"You sold your soul but I won't let you win"
"You talk too much"
"You tell them stories you'd rather believe, Use and confuse them, they're numb and naive"However he does say: "Nobody cares about you" that doesn't sound like Slash but it could be just an insult not meant literally.
I think its about Slash but there is a lot of general stuff also.
yep, "nobody cares about you" could be about a portion of the fanbase as well. "Nobody owes you, not one goddamn thing." et al

The line "shut up and sing" seems like a pretty personal reference, like something one of the band members told him back in the day probably because of his rants. The "it's harder to live with the truth about you than the lies about me" seems like a direct shot at Slash and the other former band members.
yep, I noticed the line "just shut up and sing" as well. And James, Sorry was written by Rose, Bucket, Mantia, and Scaturro so it can't be ten years old....only 6 or 7!!!:haha:

that would be a possibility....only if Axl wanted a "pure" reunion. If it is a Chinese Democracy tour, Tommy will be on it. Simple as that. The only hybrid scenario between old and new band I could see that would make sense would be Slash taking Robin's place. Any other hybrid is worthless.

why Tommy? Do you actually have a reason because the Replacements aren't getting back together anytime soon......please tell me his other options that will pay him millions of dollars (and he literally has made a few million in salary from Gnr). You guys make no sense sometimes. Tommy has been nothing but dead loyal to Axl for a solid decade.
