65% is not that great. A qualified guess. And GN'R is unpredictable like no one else. In the description they too are relying on rumors and insiders for their info.

Would be great exposure for them of course. Do a few of these in the summer time then a world tour in 17. Soon is the word if there's any truth to all of this.

I agree.

It is about building a picture, and so far the one negative outweighs the positives.

If we can dismiss Coachella, we can then move onto the next rumour

Coachella 2016 Weekend 1: April 15, 16, 17. Coachella 2016 Weekend 2: April 22, 23, 24

The headliners for Coachella 2015 were ACDC, Jack White and Drake, so were are looking for one rock band to headline this festival.

What do we know.

We know Guns N'Roses are doing something (open to interpretation possibly). This was confirmed by Fernando in August to the forums http://www.gunsnrosesfans.com/post/1259 … few-months

We know Ken Fermaglich would be involved in booking this festival. Ken works for The Agency Group http://www.theagencygroup.com/agent/ken-fermaglich/

We know the Agency Group are linked to Coachella and have Guns N' Roses on their festival roster. Please note Coachella to the left, and Guns N' Roses to the right http://www.theagencygroup.com/fairs-festivals/

We know Paul Tollett of Goldenvoice has a standing offer of 8 million dollars for a reunited GN'R to appear at Coachella http://www.musictimes.com/articles/1874 … adline.htm

Travelgrom who predict 60-70% percent of Coachella correctly are currently predicting GN'R will headline the festival. http://www.travelgrom.com/coachella-2016-lineup. Historically, rumoured headliners in December have tended to be correct. http://www.musictimes.com/articles/1874 … adline.htm

A leaked festival list on Inforoo forum during the last week of September mentions Guns N'Roses as a provisional headliner. Other headliners, Calvin Harris and LCD Soundsystem, also look likely to play the festival. Adele is a possible late addition.

We have ruled out 90% of bands that would be direct competition (including Iron Maiden and Pearl  Jam) headlining Coachella, either direct from the bands themlselves, due to the radius clause in the Coachella contract, or because there is no space in their tour diary

Slash has gone from talking openly about GN'R in May http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/slash- … say-never/, to refusing to talk about GN'R reforming in October http://www.nme.com/news/guns-n-roses/89361 to avoiding friends altogether (along with Duff) http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/let-there-be-talk. People close to Slash and Duff (mainly Slash) have intimated they believe there is a silence clause in place.

The wall of silence, which has been a growing factor over the weeks, is indicating AEG are the main promoter involved with GN'R. Other US venues are an unknown at this stage. The band may revisit The Roxy, owned by Goldenvoice, in some capacity.

I still very much doubt anything happening in 2016 because of all the legal shit needing to be sorted out. For sure they won't commit to anything before all the details are in place and we've seen no indication it has reached that stage. At best I think we are in a situation where plans are in the pipeline and the various parties have agreed in principle. From there to actual contracts being set up is going to take some time imo.

You are probably right. The band said no news is good news, so it remains a waiting game.

One thing to note is that the final headliner the 2015 Reading festival was announced on 23 Feb 2015 (the second was announced 6th Feb). Coachella 2015 was announced around 6th January 2015, so that would probably be the first festival to focus upon if GN'R are playing there.

Red hot chilli peppers announced as first headliner for Reading/Leeds.. As if you needed another reason to dislike them.
Oh well. Prob saving the biggest until last.. wink

Fuck. They don't even have John frusciante anymore! We have Slash ffs! They just got some random playing guitar.. Embarrassing or what.

Some radio station predicted it'd be them on Twitter a few days ago.

Oh well, two headliners still to be announced, the wait continues 9

The Download festival part of the Loaded article is wrong. I am 100% on that. I guess that must put rest of the article into doubt. It's a shame, because I thought it was interesting. It makes sense to some degree to tour in 2017, the 30 year anniversary of AFD. It is also worth pointing out that Loaded,, as a magazine, closed not so long ago.

Less than 19 hours till Reading announce their first set of acts and presumably the headliners. I hope some of the Americans are willing to stay up to 3:AM their time to argue about what may or may not happen.

This local paper http://www.getreading.co.uk/whats-on/mu … e-10531992 are claiming that only one headliner is going to be announced tomorrow. The Pearl Jam forums are expecting a tour announcement by PJ tomorrow, or Monday

I wish Bucket would speak even if its through Herbie. I bet he's got some stories to tell...

It is possible. The Agency Group book alot of GN'R's tour dates, and this page http://www.theagencygroup.com/fairs-festivals/ shows some of the festivals they deal with on the left, and a roster of bands on the right which include GN'R (the roster of all the bands they book for is bigger, so this list is a subset)

Thinking about Glastonbury, the three headliners for 2016 were booked in June, which would rule out GN'R based on the interview with Duff in May. It would also rule out Foo Fighters. In November, the festival were negotiating with Adele, which means that one of the headliners booked in June pulled out, one would guess that was Prince given the history.

I have spoken to Brookfield and there is nothing for GN'R in Las Vegas yet

GN'R Truth are supposedly reading us

For those reading at GN'R truth, the AEG contact thing is old now, I just meant do not contact whilst I was, that was all. They are not speaking to anyone now, so it does not matter. And, Hi to Ali and Cineater, I hope you are both well.

Hello sir.  How are you?

Potentially interesting times about to begin.  I hope you are well, too.

Ali

Hiya Ali. Good to see ya smile
