What I got from this interview is this.  Axl seems opened to the possibility of playing with the old lineup for the Hall of fame and he would do it for the fans but not beyond that.  He's still pissed at Slash for whatever reason.  There's no new record nowhere near in site.  Beta and Fernando are now officially managing GNR and that my friends is probably one of the worst moves Axl could've pulled.  I think this pretty much sums it up.

If the old band(Matt or Steven) reunited I'd travel anywhere in north America really.  I travelled to New York for Hammerstein and I drove 12 hours at night through the fucking mountains in a  damn snow storm to see them in Vancouver in 2002 so....  Travelling for them makes sense to me given certain circumstances.

2002 - first tour in 9 years(RIOT)
2006 - Hammerstien shows were intimate and were suppsoed to be the rebirth of Gn'R
20?? - Reunion Gig

All worthy of travel

Wow!  Bono says positive things about GNR.  Apocalypse has arrived!  tongue  Just pulling your leg buddy.  *lol*  I drove 5 hours to see them in 06 and drove all the way back after the show with no sleep.  And it was tougher on my wife cause when we got home, she had to go to work.  Was it worth it?  Somewhat.  It was the tour where you could not hear Axl's voice.  Well we couldn't hear his voice on that night.  And I remember you said something similar about the shows you had seen back in Edmonton or Calgary.

I think they'll play together.  Axl will be there.  Will this lead to a full reunion?  Most likely not though.  But speaking of who could be there.  What about the Peppers?  Will Frusciante show up?  Will Navarro show up?  What about The Faces?  Will Stewart show up?  Could be an interesting year.

As for calling tejastech a fucking moron.  I was wrong about that and apologise.  I misread your post.  But I still stand by what I said that Kiss, Rush and Maiden should've been first ballot entries as well.

Thank you for the apology. Glad you see where I'm coming from now. I agree they should have made it in on the first ballot. Hopefully they will get in at some point. As bad as those situations are, Deep Purple might be the worst screwjob of all. I had a History of Rock and Roll class in college and when the teacher got to the section on heavy metal, she credited Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Purple as the three grandfathers who paved the way for everyone else. Zeppelin and Sabbath are in, so Purple should also be in and should have been in on the first ballot.

Hell!  Even Ozzy as a solo artist ain't even in.  And I agree about Purple.  The Hall is a joke as far as I'm concerned.  And wether you like em or not even Jovi should've gone in last year.  This year's class is very strong with GNR, Chili and Beastie Boys though.  Makes you wonder who'll go last.

Besides, there are much less deserving artists than GN'R already IN the Hall of Fame. The KISS, Heart, Rush, Maiden, and Purple fanboys should go bark up those trees before trying to shit on GN'R. Guns deserves to be in, and yes it should be on the first ballot.

Excuse me for saying this but if you are serious with this post, then you are a fucking moron man!  As much as I hate Kiss saying that they should not have been in on first ballot while GNR should is idiotic at best.  Rush and Maiden.  Those are 2 GREAT GREAT bands and saying that GNR is better than Rush is VERY debatable.  I am not saying GNR should not have gone in on 1st ballot but they are not more deserving than Kiss, Rush and Maiden.  So as far as the fanboys of those bands.  Before calling anyone a fanboy look in the mirror man.

So many of u are missing the point and then calling others morons??

Really??

GNR are a first ballot

If other bands got passed over thats terrible and bullshit HOWEVER, GNR should not be penalized

U won't find a bigger Kiss fan than I am, but Comparing their music to GNR's is laughable at best.

In no way is Kiss better than GNR I'll grant you that.  But Rush is debatable.  Rush are very underrated.

Slash McKagan yes Kiss, Maiden, Heart, Rush and Purple should already be in and the RNRHOF will always be a joke for not having those bands in.

That's not really what he's saying.  He's just pointing out how ridiculous it is for the Hall to keep out MANY legendary rock bands.  He agrees GNR should get in, just questions why others aren't in.  It does make you wonder how they pick who gets in.  I mean, what exactly is the criteria?  In sports you can compare stats and it makes it easier to debate who should or shouldn't get in.  GNR would probably have no chance at getting in if they were an athlete, because of their short-lived 6 year career.  The music world is different obviously, but there's not an exact science to choosing inductees.

My dream scenario, being a fan of anything and everything Guns N' Roses.  Let me preface this by saying, I have no idea how many songs the inductees usually play, but this is MY DREAM, so deal with it.

1) The current lineup kicks it off with "Chinese Democracy"
2) The 2002 lineup with Brain, Robin and Bucket (Paul if he's up for it) enter, play another CD song, possibly "Madagascar".
3) The UYI lineup with Matt, Gilby, Duff, and Slash play, well take your pick.  I'll go with "November Rain".
4) The AFD lineup gets up to close it out with Steven and Izzy.  Play WTTJ and PC to end it.

I  know, people will say the 2002 and current lineup have no right even looking at the Hall, but this is MY DREAM!  So BACK OFF! 13

That is what he is saying

He basically thinks GNR aren't first ballot worthy then points to a bunch of other bands that can't hold GNR's dick

GNR are a first ballot

Fuck those other bands, GNR getting in doesn't prevent one of them from getting in and even if it does, who gives a shit??? GNR are better than those bands.

Besides, there are much less deserving artists than GN'R already IN the Hall of Fame. The KISS, Heart, Rush, Maiden, and Purple fanboys should go bark up those trees before trying to shit on GN'R. Guns deserves to be in, and yes it should be on the first ballot.

View the last few minutes of the video, sums up perfectly what Gene represents and why I cringe everytime I hear a Kiss song.

I don't have to watch.  Seeing and hearing Gene in an interview is just torture.  Gene has to be the biggest whore in the music industry and I'm not talking about sex.
