So he's out but they won't let him say he's out? It's a bit like when he joined and they wouldn't let him say he was in, but he did anyway, so then he was out. Perhaps if he says he's out he'll be forced to be back in again?
My head hurts.

True it did leave them wriggle room had they chosen to continue with a movie etc. Perhaps i'm being naive but i'm not convinced that was a motivation/consideration at the time for the final scene. Forget the actual ending for a moment, events in the last season left him with virtually no senior crew and facing a life time in jail. Where would a movie go with that that was plausable? For me, hidden behind the ambiguity of the ending it actually got finished up quite neatly.

Not to highjack the thread but I don't understand the hate on the Sopranos ending. Sure it didn't tie it up in a bow nice and obvious but for me it was pretty clear what happened at the end.
, which would've made a movie difficult unless they called 'The Sopranos - The Rise of AJ' and nobody would have wanted to see that

Can we assume then that when Richard says 'no comment' it means that something is happening and anything he actually says can be ignored?

I think I said earlier in the thread I found Libertad to be a better overall album than Contraband. All it was missing was a couple of hits. I'd give most of the songs on Libertad a consistent 6.5 whereas Contraband there's some 8's but also some 4's.
Always liked Just 16, thought it was a strong track, just didn't quite deliver the quality chorus it built up to.

Perhaps Matt was chosen more because he was a known quantity. Solid (damn solid actually) if perhaps unspectacular but they knew what they'd be getting from him in both music and personality.

I used to like Libertad, not listened to it in a long time though. I always thought it was a decent overall album just lacked any obvious strong singles. Messages is still one of the strongest songs any past/present GNR member has been involved with in or out of GNR.

Looks like there is at least an intention for new music this year. Won't get any more carried away than that but it's a good sign if nothing else.
That said, if it is all CD stuff (not a big surprise) it does make you wonder why it's taken another 7 years to release essentially finished material.

It's not that I don't like Stannis, he's just a bit boring. On the tv show at least. I have read book one and he gets more of a build up than he did on the tv show so perhaps the character is a victim of the transition to tv? I just felt he turned up in season 2, sulked around because he wasn't king, then spent season 3 sulking because he'd lost Blackwater then he was largely absent in season 4 appearing near the end to save the north (his best moment so far). I'm happy to be converted he's just not done too much to be excited by.
Am I right in thinking the next season is likely to catch up to the books or is there still another book after that?
