I am not sure what is more disturbing....the fact that someone would get bent out of shape because of this or the fact that Gnr actually put this on one of their websites.:nervous: Down and out-the fanbase, the band.....

I remember I thought this guy looked a lot like Axl did around 91-92....Brad Pitt in 1994

Robin Fincke quote from May 2000

But even after working endlessly on the GN'R album, Finck is unable to speculate on how it's going to turn out.

"I'd helped write and arrange and recorded enough songs for several records," he says. "Honestly, we recorded so many different song ideas and completed so many different types of songs '” from quiet, very simple traditional piano songs to 16 stereo tracks of keyboard blur and everything in between."

But, he notes, "most of the stronger songs that ended up on A-lists when I was there were huge rock songs, built for the masses, really guitar-driven."

Buckethead himself could write 32 songs in a week, much less 10 years! 32 songs out of ten years worth of work is not a lot. 10

"I don't see anything in these comments to suggest either a double album or a trilogy. Interesting numbers though. 13 songs, and if each song has two versions recorded, it brings us to 26. Better supposedly has three versions(normal leak, synth version, and the acoustic not yet heard). The Blues also has three versions. If only four more songs have 3 different versions, we are now at Axl's magic number 32.

That scenario isn't a stretch. Its just as likely(more likely in my opinion) as there being 32 different songs. "

James, that is the most insane thing you have ever posted on a Gnr message board.:nervous:   I have no clue what will happen with this farce, but if Axl says he is working on 32 songs, I'll have to take his word for it that it is 32 different tracks after 10 years of fuckin around in the studio with a dozen different musicians. He is crazy but not that crazy.:haha:

In the end, who really cares how much it sells? They will never outsell the old band so that is a moot point. The only thing that matters is that it sells enough to release a second record. Personally, I just want to hear all of what took 10 years to complete.:peace:

#7118 Re: Guns N' Roses » Eddie Trunk on Chinese Democracy » 957 weeks ago

James, I don't believe the whole trilogy thing either. I do believe he recorded 30-40 tracks for the chinese democracy sessions-he said himself in Mar 06 that he was working on 32 songs-then you have the Bach comments about 4 albums worth of material. Which means, until there is a final tracklist, all songs recorded are fair game. In the end, I think we will get 6 songs we have already heard and the rest will be unheard stuff. Obviously, that is just a guess. As far as sales go, I don't think we have any real idea of what will happen until a single hits the radio.:ummm:

James, respectfully, what Merck said in 2006 is utterly meaningless. Until the recording is complete and the material handed in, there are only ideas for tracklisting. The record company has a huge say in what the final tracklist could be. If any of these knuckleheads were intelligent and assuming their is multiple albums of material, don't release but one or two of the songs that were leaked or played live. Blind side the entire fanbase. 19

good post Sic...it could be a lot of different things. Like Trunk said as well, Uni could be looking to sell all the material to another record company. Axl could be looking for a new deal for multiple album releases...there are a hundred different things that could be at issue. Of course, Sic and I have mentioned all these things before over the last 6 months!:haha:.....still doesn't mean we are any closer to getting a record.:headbang:
