Looks like GNR has aged him 30 years
#822 Re: The Sunset Strip » Fantasy Band Draft » 721 weeks ago
Since GNR are kinda boring at the moment. I'd really like to make this as fun and argumentative as possible. LOL
I'm curious to people's strategies.
are u gonna just throw the best 5 people together?
are u going for a particular sound/style of music?

I know Prince doesn't give autographs due to his religion, so i missed a once in a lifetime opportunity during his Musicology tour.
I went to the after party he was at and my friend and I went outside to get some air. we were standing by a light pole decked out in our Prince gear *I wore my super rare Prince Symbol Necklace in full view*
anyhow, Prince popped out of a side door at the club to get to his limo and we were literally 8-10 feet away, no body guards, no fans around, nothing. I could've walked right up.... but being such a huge fan and knowing his feelings on certain things,I didn't. He looked over at us as he was walking and we waved and he looked at us, smiled and nodded.
for me, that was worth more than being an invasive douche and charging at him.

Duff is spineless
nothing wrong with it, not even necessarily a "Negative"
but he just seems to do whatever

Yeah but who will be winning in 2070?
They'll both be dead but I'd guess AFD/UYI will have a more lasting cultural impact than any of Sheen's TV shows.
Like the great musical works of the past, new people will come along and be inspired by those compositions and recordings. Don't think too many lives in the future will be changed by the re-runs of Sheen's TV shows.
I still love The Andy Griffith Show and it was done what? almost 50 years ago and still one of the best shows on TV
so Two and A Half Men could still be funny in 50
agree though, the music will live on forever.
