I thought it most of the live versions sounded pretty good, shame Axls throat was knackered during that period right enough, but apart from that I liked them.
I think its sacred cause its Axl N' Slash's finest moment together. It'd be like seeing your mother smooching another man after your parents break up

Estranged is my favourite song and I never felt any particular excitement when I heard it, more like ...uh thats cool, and went back to watching what else was happening in the vids.
GNR pay way to much attention to a tiny minority of nerds. Infact it goes beyond that, I've thought it a million times, its like they are blind to all the positive and they zoom in on the negative aspects.
Its like htgth, in a thread of positive conversation one voice pipes up that doesnt share the mass opinion, and instead of letting it pass by jarmo and his cronies will pick him out the crowd and start an argument and completely derail the thread.
Stepping on eggshells is an understatement when dealing with this so called "GNR camp."

It was great, I loved it!
Fuck Estranged and whether it gets played or not, its just a song. So some geeks got excited, BIG FUCKING DEAL!
As for the chat, I wouldnt even read that pish never mind take part in it. 50 kids shouting over the top of each other striving for attention isnt chatting, its just one big headache.

When you look around the GNR forums at all the trash and bile thats been thrown around over the years, they should really by now be a little less sensitive to these things. Truth is, it doesnt matter a damn what we say, noone outside of this tiny little online bubble of ours cares whatsoever what we write about GNR, the good and the bad.
I think it just boils down to them being a bit annoyed that the wee snippet of Estranged was unintentionally broadcast.
Jamming my arse, if it was just a meaningless jam, then why did Ron start fumbling for the off switch on his camera as soon as those notes rung out

I thought it was Tommy, Chris was on an earlier video dressed differently.

Yeah that was awesome, I was suprised it wasnt on the album. Infact I've always thought that when it gets to that moment on the studio versions, Axl sounds like his vocal is cut off prematurely, its just stops out of sync with everything else. Mabye it was there and they cut it out?
I must have sat for half an hour last night listening to that instrumental of the outro over and over, absolutely fantastic!

Ron also took us on a wee tour of the studio, introducing different people and talking about some of the equipment - really cool stuff.
