When did he complain about that? This is a guy who disappeared for about 7 years in the mid 90's to early 2000's, and did so again from 2002 to 2006. If anything he seems to hide from the attention over the last 20 years.
He put the promotion for his comeback album in the toilet when he realized they weren't giving it the push he wanted. His first interview with Loder in 99/00 he lamented no longer being the hot shit as a band with the public.

Almost half of it before the rumors about this started swelling was by multi-accouters and trolls.
They're breaking records for the number of people online, but they doubled the "users online" time to within the past 30 minutes from 15... in the past while. So it's slightly misleading, not to downplay that their obviously is alot of interest on the boards atm.
Isn't the festival announcement tomorrow? It'd be spectacular if they weren't announced for it.

I don't remember that bit of the interview specifically, but the music industry had changed in those years. Grunge had both it's rise and fall in that time, it'd been years since the band had released an album even back then.

I saw it posted on HTGTH that he was online.
According to a poster on HTGTH he (or someone) logged in there under his Dexter account and was showing up under the list of members "online". He has now left without posting anything.
