Are you watching this Trump thing? It's terrible. He had that great line about Cruz winning Maine because it was so close to Canada, which actually made me laugh, then he goes on and on repeating the same narcassitc me, me, me, me stuff, and asks for people to please give him credit for shit, and then gets so bent out of shape about the petty shit, like the hands stuff. The guy works good in sound bytes. This format he's terrible, same with the debates.

Ha, the Canada line was classic. I am watching. He is doing a presser now.  He is a funny guy. I see why people love him. He always puts the country first. He seems to have a lot of pride.

That is up there man.  The IRS is unfair to Trump "because he's a strong Christian". lol.  If he said that in 2006 or something people would've been like 'WTF is he talking about??'

(Not saying the IRS never targets people, just that no one ever perceived Trump in any way religious prior to this race)

Only been watching since the Guns debate and missed the Wall street bit supposedly.

Confused as to how Bernie is supposed to be the liberal one. He might as well have been a Republican. These stories he tells seem forced, true or not.

Hilary is more liberal on social issues but Bernie is more liberal with your money.

I'd rather my money be used for education, infrastructure, healthcare, childcare, and the elderly etc. rather than corporations, and/or war profiteers. I think that's one of the main differences between the two parties: How do we want our money allocated for the betterment of society? The choices I see, are socialism for the rich ONLY or socialism for the rest of us. The latter makes much more sense to me.

Hilary is more liberal on social issues but Bernie is more liberal with your money.

Americans often confuse Liberal with Progressive, but Liberal actually means 'favoring maximum individual liberty in political and social reform', so his gun policy is literally more liberal than Hillary's because he doesn't want to take anyone's personal freedom to have a gun away. On social issues he's been consistently more liberal than Hillary as well (being pro-gay marriage before it was fashionable, and all...). They are probably tied in how liberal they are regarding health care (not very liberal at all: they both support some form of healthcare mandate, meaning they both don't think it's up to an individual to decide if they want insurance). Saying Hillary is more Liberal than Bernie is... weird.

Another way to think about it: a liberal differs from a libertarian mostly in that the latter doesn't believe in market regulation while the former might or might not. On social issues, their positions should be very similar. If you compare Rand Paul with Bernie Sanders on those issues, that should be pretty obvious.

Being a true liberal is a good thing, it promotes personal responsibility and diversity much more than conservatism, which aims to drive society in a conformist direction by limiting individual freedom and agency.

I'm glad that Bernie won 3 out of 4 states this week-end, that means he's still hanging on, but he needs to prepare better for these debates. He still thinks that if he speaks from the heart and brings his message in a constructive way he'll win over more and more people, but he needs to become much more concrete as to why he believes that Hillary is not the right candidate.

For instance, he should point out that the debacle in Flint, MI is the direct result of big money influencing government. The MI governor gave billions of dollars to his campaign contributors in the form of tax deductions yet decided to change water suppliers to save a measly 2 million bucks without doing a proper study on the effects. That's where his priorities were, paying his dues to contributors, not ensuring kids don't get poisoned by the fucking tap water. THAT is what money in politics gets you, THAT is why you CANNOT support any politician that participates in that incestuous system, THAT is why you need to vote for Bernie.

Concrete examples like that will make his message so much more effective when it comes to the uneducated masses. People aren't dumb, they just aren't involved. Government isn't a problem, the government is the people, and when you elect corrupt crony capitalist cunts you'll get a corrupt crony capitalist government. If you elect honest and effective people, you'll get an effective government.
