On the Trump in the bunker stuff... those protestors were not getting anywhere near the WH last Summer and the ones who were at the gates weren't even being violent. The violence was elsewhere in the city. The White House was also properly fortified and defended and it had the necessary personnel around the perimeter. They even used severe force to clear out the peaceful protestors outside the WH so that he could do a photo op holding a bible outside a church. These situations aren't comparable.

Reports coming out today that some of these guys in the crowd had maps of the tunnels under the capitol and had a lot more planned than they managed to pull off. Worrying stuff.

I was reading back having a laugh at some posts and reread your post and do you know you might actually have hit on something there. Why was Trump not ushered away to safety like he was during the blm protest? This is the president we are talking about, left out in the open while mayhem erupted. Noone finds that odd?

... and no I don't think the answer is the bodyguards knew they were cool. If it is they all need to be fired.
Just another oddity in a day full of the bizarre.

As the days get closer to inauguration day, Donald Trump is slowly vanishing from my sight largely because he is in hiding. He will be the first president ever who wasn't willing to attend inauguration proceedings (of those that were able).

Of course there are reports now that he's getting ready to pardon himself and anyone and everyone involved in his criminal enterprises both public and political. This is most definitely something someone who is innocent would do, no? Here again, another social and political norm is shattered.

For someone who liked to admonish others who haven't accomplished much over their political careers, he sure didn't accomplish much himself in 4 years outside of he executive orders. His only major legislative accomplishment was his tax reform which was a thinly vailed corporate socialism policy.

He was a weak man who postured to be a strong man. He was a deeply unpopular president and he will leave office with some of the lowest approval ratings of any president ever. He was an uncaring and out of touch man who was incapable of compassion or empathy of any kind.

He's unleashed a group of grossly ignorant conspiracy theorists incapable of any critical thought. They are now an increasingly sought after voting block which means some political candidates will pander to them in the future to get their votes. This is how we've gotten the Josh Hawley's of the world.

This has been a shameful 4 years. Those who deserve the shame will not take any accountability unless its forced upon them. My only hope is that now that the head of the snake is gone, the trumpers in congress will garner less influence. The deep under belly of this country has been exposed and it is ugly.

Good bye Trump. I wish you pain and misery in your final years of life.

This is a disturbing story if true:
A woman seen wearing a white nationalist T-shirt and directing people towards Nancy Pelosi’s office during the Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6 is now under investigation for possibly stealing the Speaker of the House’s laptop and planning to sell it to Russia’s secret service.

Riley June Williams, 22, from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is currently on the run from authorities after video footage captured inside the Capitol clearly shows her taking an active role in directing the insurrection.

But the FBI is now investigating an altogether more troubling accusation.

According to a former love interest of Williams, who contacted the FBI’s tip line in the days after the attack, Williams had stolen a laptop or hard drive from Pelosi’s office, which she planned to give to the Kremlin.

These details were included in an affidavit filed on Sunday evening by FBI agent Jonathan Lund outlining the criminal case against Williams.

“[The witness] also claimed to have spoken to friends of Williams, who showed [the witness] a video of Williams taking a laptop computer or hard drive from Speaker Pelosi’s office. [The witness] stated that Williams intended to send the computer device to a friend in Russia, who then planned to sell the device to SVR, Russia’s foreign intelligence service.”

The witness said that the sale had fallen through for “unknown reasons” and that Williams either destroyed the computer device or still has it.

Lund added that the Russia allegations are still under investigation.

The affidavit says Williams has changed her telephone number and deleted her social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, and Parler since Jan. 6.

Wiliams was first identified over the weekend by UK broadcaster ITV, which published a report about Williams’ activities inside the Capitol.

The report spoke to Williams’ mother, Wendy Williams, who confirmed that her daughter had “just took off” and hadn’t said where she was going. She confirmed her daughter was the person seen directing people “upstairs, upstairs, upstairs” towards Pelosi’s office.

“She took a sudden interest in Trump’s politics and far-right message boards,” Wendy Williams said.

I wouldn't trust anything greasy chicken face Cohen says... or Rupar reports. It's feeling like the left is headed down the Qanon conspiracy theorist hole.

If you don’t think there is a system of oppression in the USA that keeps black people in a pervasive, disadvantaged state, I don’t know what to tell you. Black Lives Matter isn’t about Marxists, it’s about fundamentally changing the aforementioned point through unity. That means it’s not just black people saying BLM it means white Americans have to share responsibility for where we are, acknowledge our inherent privilege in this country, and advocate for change.

Isn't Marxism a part of their official platform even mentioned on their website?

You should make this argument to the white folks in the Appalachias about their "inherent privilege." They definitely need to be taken down a notch or two.

I have no reason to doubt you wrote that if you say you did. Especially the, "Good bye Trump. I wish you pain and misery in your final years of life" part. That's not healthy.
