My thoughts exactly. There’s nothing logical when it comes to GN’R… 10 big_smile

It's just more a case of thinking how random old re recorded material can be useful to the money making machine of touring. Think like  a record company

Oh please…same conversation before every leg of the tour since 2016. They aren’t doing shit other than dropping b-side singles randomly to people who already heard them 4 years ago. It’s fucked up.

Only about 20 years to go before the estate releases new GN'R music. A realistic prospect, at least.

There's a new Richard Fortus interview where he literally says this.

https://headlinermagazine.net/guns-n-ro … t-all.html

During most of my early career, most of the revenue came from record sales and touring was done to support the record. Now, it’s flipped. If you manage to make any money at all it’s going to be from live shows and merchandise, and your record is one more piece of promo to support that.

Does the record company get a cut of the touring revenue? If not does this explain why fuck all is being released?

They get royalties and money from merchandise

I'm just guessing that the releases will just be used for a bit of publicity

How ARE tickets selling?

Maybe slow sales will prompt the band to take some action?
