Re: If the World leak

If this is a BH song, which it probably is, and certainly at least his work is all over the track... how can they release it on CD? I know they legally could, but it's just too much for Ron to have to be faced with. Why even put it on a master setlist if BH is such a huge part of the song? Unless he's on every track we haven't heard as much as he's on this and Riyadh, I don't see why they wouldn't put a Robin or a Tommy song on the master setlist instead.

EDIT: If it is Bucket laying the electric solo around the 3:30 mark than he has been proven as the single most important member of the new Guns N' Roses. I think it might be Robin, and I kinda hope it's Robin, because it kicks so much ass and I really want Robin to be as featured as a guy can be after all the years he put in.

Sounds like BH to me, but it could be Finck.

They need to bring BH back.  Give him whatever he wants.

Do you have James write your posts for you or do you just guess at what he'd say?

Nope.  Just happen to be two BH fans.

My comments to BBF days after he joined(you cant play Riyadh) are probably closer to the truth. There's no reason why Riyadh could not have been substituted for a different CD track for at least one show.

I can understand Axl not wanting to play If the World or Prostitute without an album out, but Riyadh should have been played. I was not at Hammerstein, but I remember some people saying that some hardcores got a chant going for it. Luckily for BBF, Axl ignored the chants and the AFD jerkoff went off without a hitch.

I bet that gave BBF the "willies".:haha:

He clearly would have had difficulty playing this song or Riyadh.  If you cant nail that IRS solo or the noodling shit he does in Better, you definitely aint nailing these tracks either.

IF this album is ever released and Axl wants to tour, Buckethead has to be brought back even if BBF is on the record because the media will have a microscope on this band early in the tour with a record out and his inferior playing will be brought up. Only reason it wasn't brought up by the media on the last tour is because the tour was pretty low key, and the CD tracks were not a highlight at the shows.

An album release changes the whole dynamics of this circus, and Axl better stock up on porn and dog shit  if he wants to properly tour this record.

CC, I didn't need one specific solo as proof that he was the most important member of the post Slash era. Everything about him was proof of that. However, the more songs we here, the more people who agree with that stance.

I now understand why Axl was begging him back days before Hammerstein when BBF was already rehearsing.

Also, I am glad your stance on Buckethead has changed over time. You used to be pretty anti-BH, and it looks like you might have stopped thinking about the image aspect of him and only concentrated on the music he does, which is what everyone should do.

I am really digging this song.  I thought it was kind of cheesy with the intro the first time around, but it has grown on me quick.  Quite different from anything any faction of GNR has ever done, and I love it.

Axl took Colma, a small dose of Simply Red, a poppy rhythm section, mixed it in a blender, and out came If the World.

I like this song, but I'm not in love with it. I wish it had more umph to it. Like a TWAT solo from Bucket. I don't know, I don't hear Bucket on it that much at all, from what I can tell. It sounds more like a Robin song.

I would say he took a Faith No More song, upped the production value and added some vocal melodies that are distinctly Axl.

Either way, it kicks ass.

Have you heard Colma? Electric Tears? Population Override?

Bucket is owning this track from start to finish.

I think GNR fans who mainly think of BH as a shredder need to start diving in to his discography and see what he's really about.

The "robot shredder freak" thing is old, and he brings more to the table than anyone to ever be in this band.
