I always thought VR should do Lower live - it's sounds Weilandish and is an awesome tune.

I agree with James' list + Back and Forth Again (although if you're looking for a 96 Guns album you'd probably take Axl's ballads over it - This I Love and such).

I always loved It's 5 O'clock Somewhere, after Appetite it's my favorite GnR related album. It's a little known rock gem.

I think Slash was definitely at his best in the time between GnR and VR, and while the overall songs on 5 O'clock is better, Ain't Life Grand has the best guitar work recorded by Slash.
