I'm not sure they make a lot of money though. I was reading in Slash's book how they barely made any money off that entire Metallica co tour due to all the late fees etc they had to pay everynight.
so if they barely made money filling 50k football stadiums, u can imagine how little money they had to make playing to half empty arenas.

I haven't read all the Axl transcripts yet, but didn't he rule out tour plans at the moment? I'll take his word over Fortus any day of the week.
yeah, he said no tour plans yet, but they are in talks.
whether they start in March or a couple months later, it sounds like "the plan" is to tour in 2009. he made several references to set lists and cities they will play.
based on Axl's and Richard's comments, i think it's safe to assume that they are in the process of putting the tour together. and the band has been told to expect it to kick off late winter or spring.
