Interesting. Seems like an odd branding move but branding none the less.

Yeah, the man certainly knows how to brand himself.  I have a young nephew who knows Slash from Guitar Hero (who doesn't at this point?).  He's also into angry birds, or at least he was.  So if that's still the case, I may have to get him this when it comes out.  You have to hand it to the man.  He keeps up his relevance with different generations across the map.

In other news, Axl has his own Topps baseball card this year.  So that's sort of along the same lines.  Sort of.  I used to be a big baseball card collector.  I wonder what an Axl Rose rookie card goes for?  I had a Ken Griffey Jr. Upper Deck rookie card, that was the first card in the brand new company's history.  I bought it for like $30 before he became a star and it got up to like $150.  It was stolen from my house, most likely during a house party I threw when my parents were out of town.  The prime suspect committed suicide years later (no lie), so the case was never solved.  Anyway, the card went down in value drastically over the years.  Not sure what it's at now, but at least it didn't continue to rise in price.  That would've been tougher to take.

Sorry for rambling.  Needed to get that off my chest. yikes

Was this in an actual game or did they just make one for fun? Sorry I don't play Angry Birds.

Although I know people are going to comment on slash's self promotion....I suspect it's also come about as Slash has a hardcore addiction to angry birds.

He's mentioned many times it's like his new drugs.

I'd wager he just wanted to be a part of it somehow!

Yeah Slash has mentioned a few times his addiction to the game. I'm guessing maybe the creators of the game approached Slash as a consequence.  As others have said, I guess it gets him exposed to a whole lot of new people outside of his traditional old school rock n roll market. I guess thats a good thing.

I was wondering this myself.

I believe it was a downloadable mini game that was up for sale during Freddie Mercury's birthday and AIDS benefit and there was a small video and T-shirt sale on the Angry Birds website with the image. They may still be there. I remember seeing them on Queen's facebook and Angry Bird's pages.
