I did wonder if it might be down to the Melissa article being published a couple of weeks back. IIRC Roberta had another interview published soon after the Cosmo interview with Melissa, so I wonder if her PR isn't piggybacking on Melissa's coverage a bit? Like they're approaching outlets going, "Hey, Melissa says she's the first female member of GN'R but Roberta toured with them in the 90s..."

It’s most definitely down to that. They (Rolling Stone) kinda allude to that at the start of the Roberta article.
