Random update on this probably not worthy of it's own thread, at least yet.

A few years back I looked into Iron Mountain and stumbled on that video of the Beer & Cigarette ADAT being scanned whilst I was looking into how GN'Rs vault access works. Anyway I mentioned at the time there was a plan for a TV series on Iron Mountain in the early works, well work has moved on and here is more information...

https://newnoisemagazine.com/news-cnn-a … ry-series/

CNN and Universal Music Group have joined forces to launch a new television series which will premiere later this year. American comedian and actor Fred Armisen will be serving the show as a host. At this moment, no name for the show has been revealed. The show will feature many unreleased behind-the-scenes moments from UMG’s huge music archives. Pioneering artists such as Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, and others will be featured in the show. It will showcase pop culture’s crucial moments and stories of legendary artists and songwriters who have made incredible impact in the history of music.

The vaults of UMG is located in Boyers, Pennsylvania, in a 220 feet underground former limestone mine. It holds thousands of iconic antiquities such as original recordings, master tapings, unreleased photos, alternative album art, and unreleased live recordings.

Armisen made the following statement at UMG’s “Music Is Universal” showcase:

“I’m honored, and I can’t wait to get started with this project. I want to move into that vault! I hope we get to dive in, deeper and deeper, into these recordings.”

He added:

“And I also want to say that to Universal Music Group that whenever you put out boxed sets with the demos and everything on them, I buy all of it! For real, I buy the LPs and CDs, because I want both collections. I’m really honored, and thank you so much for having me—I can’t wait to get started.”

The show will be a unique experience for music enthusiasts. Details regarding the show will be revealed soon.

As I recall the early idea was to have a single episodes based around an individual bands (eg) ep 1 The who, ep 2 gnr and so forth , can't say if that's still the case or not or if there stuff will be featured over several episodes, we shall see I guess.

who can tell me if they remember this...?

"and they say the stars don't look the same, I may have changed yet I have my soul to claim"

I know it was allegedly written by the same guy who posted the lyrics to Sorry before it was released although that's not entirely proven I don't think.

I havn't thought about this for years but If they are real lyrics, surely the word soul would suggest Soulmonster? If I remember right the same person was the first to mention In This Grave

So Demolition posted those lyrics about a Soul To Claim on htgth ? The Same guy who posted the lyrics to Sorry in 2007 on htgth ?

If that's the case wouldn't i and few others be right that Monsters isn't Soul Monster ?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Once again kudos to you @shacklermyrye and props to you @guts for remembering the source the lyrics all those years later.

@sp1at you also said
Beltrami told someone on my site years ago that Seven was based on the movie of the same name."
If GNR releases nothing in 2023, is this the end for you? (Page 49) / Guns N' Roses / GNR Evolution - Guns N Roses Forum

Seven is film about the 7 deadly sins.
So far the only  cd era songs not counting 4 kohd versions with religous overtones are Oh My God and State Of Grace. Since we know Seven isn't Oh My God is logical to assume I'm correct with my theory that Seven is State Of Grace ?

Man I had forgotten about those lyrics completely lol, that post of mine must be from very early in this thread somewhere.

I would need to look into the whole thing again to be sure, but the way I recall it, it was same guy who posted the lyrics to Sorry before release that posted those. People who remember it seemed to assume he was bullshitting as when Monsters leaked it didn't have those lyrics, but obviously knowing the lyrics to Sorry before they were out there suggests this poster either had heard or had actual stuff. Who knows maybe it was Sebastian Bach lol

When Monsters leaked I knew at least that the word Monsters was involved as just like Evader I had spent hours pulling the audio from the VIP_CELL clip & Monster was pretty much the only word I got right. I probably should have twigged that the song wasn't actually The General at all, but we all believed it was as GNR twitter had stated that intro music for gigs was mostly The General..

Anyway I understand that people are split on if they were once upon a time part of the same song or not. I don't know for sure, but I do know that the version of Monsters that leaked is like a structurally butchered version of what it once was, and should have been.

It's a shame we never got that version but you can always trust GN'R to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Take a listen to this my friend
https://youtu.be/cNMqSInMv9Y?si=bf7QXRbjubEFeL9X
Thanks to Arnuld over at Bad Apples posting it.
My good friend who told me about Children Of Revolution and allowed me to be the one to break the news also said he heard The General years before it was released and it's The General N' Monsters as one long song. The General N' Monsters used to have a lot more orchestra before we go the Slash and Duff redo. @Sp1at please ask around regarding that.

More to the point if Demolition posted these lyrics  "and they say the stars don't look the same, I may have changed yet I have my soul to claim" then that's Soul Monster aka Me and My Elvis aka Leave Me Alone. I urge people to listen to village sessions Me and My Elvis with those lyrics in mind.

Full disclosure I'm not always right but i got a helluva a batting average and if I'm wrong it's because the info i got was wrong.
Last year i posted about Guns N' Roses have a release planed on June 6th, Questions was my source from mygnr who later admitted on mygnr he was Mister Saint Laurent, so i was wrong but my source has a good history for being right a example Axl joining AC/DC. I think June 6th still was the planned date.
But i will take that as me being wrong so add that to the list.

On the other hand who was the first to break the news on 2026 North American tour last year weeks before anyone else ? That was me and no Mister Saint Laurent nor Fearthejuggalo were not my sources on that.

So if im right that means we have a unheard song in Me & My Elvis aka Leave Me Alone aka Elvis Presley and The Monster of Soul with the meanest vocals Axl has ever sung according to him still out there !

There's no evidence that guy is the same one that posted the Sorry lyrics. His post also referenced other song titles like "The Watch" and "In This Grave" that don't sound real at all.

Well look at this way the 5 post that he made

Where was he wrong because all that info that's not the "In This Grave" or "The Watch" checks out.

He didn't break any news there. Everything he said was already speculation or outright observations common on the boards in those days.

My observation is his info (not song lyrics or song titles) was proven correct.

Sure it's fair for you to say it was speculation and outright observations that were common at the time. I cannot debate that.

The fact other posters here believed he may have been the same poster as Demolition from htgth is interesting and should be further investigated  and discussed because that would actually validate the lyrics provided don't  you agree ?

I myself cannot claim to know anymore on this individual then the post i have provided.
