Re: Aerosmith and Friends w/ GNR Hollywood Bowl Oct 29/Nov 1

Ok i'm giving it a first listen now. Mama Kin sounded awful to me but he sounds pretty good (for these days) On S.O.S. I expect some of these songs will be drafted out at gnr shows to replace Sabbath songs.

Haven't heard any timing issues which is good. Wonder if this is the first time Zig Zag has seen Axl since 1993.  Rats In The Cellar performance had a lot of energy to it and Axl seemed to be really in to it. Wouldn't surprise me if we see Teddy go on tour with them again at some point.

Interesting.  I thought Mama Kin was the best one vocally.  Rats in the Cellar was ok
vocally .  A lot of the song is just  instrumental and I was mainly focusing on that .  Slash has still got it.

The worst one was Sick As A Dog.  Big Rocks fan .  That one would made me cringe listening to the vocals on that one .

Well, they're short a second keyboardist at the moment…

Yeah true, casuals won't know who he is I assume, although tbf having said that if casuals who go have only really seen live footage from the old days, then that footage is likely from the UYI videos that he is on, so maybe they will.

If they took him on tour the biggest impact he could make in theory is help tip them back in to a more blue's based band and nudge them away a little from triggered samples and sub bass.

To be honest, I doubt it's anything as cynical as that. It's likely as simple as: We want to play this song, it needs a harmonica on it, who do we know who can play the harmonica? Remember this gig was originally just going to be Slash and Duff, and Slash had Teddy on his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival tour recently.

I think we're sometimes guilty of seeing conspiracies and schemes everywhere!

Not to be a dick…
But why would we want to go back?
Gn’R evolved.

I have loved this band
Since 1987…
But I’ve evolved, too.

I’ve enjoyed their growth
And I’ve dug all the changes…
I prefer this sound.
