Honestly, I'm startled at how quiet things are the bootleg front. There haven't even been rumors of new leaks surfacing, and the remaining things we know are out there but not circulating (the internal documents and rehearsal footage) seem to remain in the hands of one, maybe two people.
This feels like being a fan around 1998! Although admittedly that was a GREAT year to be buying GNR stuff on eBay.
Well, it feels like with the remixes and the 2001 HOB footage having leaked, that's basically it for the Chinese Democracy stuff that's in circulation. Everything else is locked down tight, isn't it?

it's somewhat laughable and somehow tragic, how nobody ever talks anything substantive about any GNR record. just general crap like the ones we've been told since... umm... 2010 or something? weird state of things. everybody is talking about how "things are positive" and "everyone is excited", but on the other hand, it's all just empty babbling without ever saying anything concrete.
And don’t forget Tommy with his Duff like optimism. I literally laugh when people think things will change on the new music front because Slash and Duff will hold some kind of magic power over Axl. It is just fanboy bullshit. Nothing has changed other than the size of their collective 401k’s and retirement plans.
yup, I totally agree. more or less, Slash and Duff are just another guys who joined the circus, no matter that they were there decades ago already.
I think we should understad "soon" under a different timescale. you mean, like... the dinosaurs are extinct for a long time, but wool mammoths were still here really not a long time ago.
under the same timescale, the Earth will get destroyed when the Sun goes into the red giant phase in some 4 billion years or so, but compared to that, the GNR album will probably be out "soon".
