I'm in the minority here, but I can see their point. If I bought tickets to a Guns N' Roses show and Axl got replaced beforehand by Corey Taylor, I'd have second thoughts too. I'm not saying Corey is at Axl's level, I'm just using that as an example.
It's a good comparison, I don't particularly like Corey / knot / s sour & don't listen to any of his stuff at all. If it were gnr with corey and I'd already bought tickets I'd still go just to see what it'd be like and have a good night out. If however I hadn't yet bought the tickets, I certainly wouldn't. But yeah, I see your point.
Really though, the bastardisation of DC with Axl, it's gotta be worth seeing just for the hell of it, it could tank, or be amazing. Like said earlier in this thread, Axl will probably feed off negativity like this to give it his all. Here's hoping.

Stupid IMO, this is a once in a lifetime thing, even I were an AC/DC die-hard who didn't like Axl I'd still go, just for the spectacle. I hope he nails it, I think he will.

Great read, thanks for arranging the interview & posting it James, very cool. I loved the audacity and scale of the UYI tour, I didnt think it was bloated at all, at the time, i just thought it was epic!

Lol @ all these people still calling Matt a prick and asshole, yet I'm still to see solid evidence of this prick and asshole behaviour. The guy seems cool, he's just honest about his opinions
You got me wrong. I said he does come off as a bit of a prick, no specific evidence, just my thinking. He's like a work colleague I know, nice guy, like him, but a bit of a knob too. :-)

Maybe because he always ran his mouth in any interview or documentary opportunity. I liked his drumming on illusions, and think its a shame he has been shut out, but he does come off as a bit of a prick, so its no surprise to me he wasn't asked. Although I'd love to know what happened in the background, whether slash or duff requested he be a part or not, whether axl just flat out said no?

I'm in the UK reading updates through evo only, no periscope. The set list is mind blowing! I'm gonna wait till tonight, grab some beers and sift over the videos that emerge. Till then I'm following this thread, loving the vibe. Is this like the first time in years/ever we are all happy?

In AXL's tweet there's a vid from the doctor explaining the injury & procedure he had done. I gotta say fair play to the guy for putting it out there before the show. Cool thing to post that. Hoping tonight goes well!
