Now, remind me which of these Slash wrote?  Funny how two of the songs you wrote (in which are considered by some GNR's best songs) were solely written by Axl.

Deal with it.

U can't be serious

So I guess Axl hummed the guitar parts to him.

You seem to mistake adding guitar parts with actually writing a song.  There is a HUGE difference there.

Take Soundgarden for example.  Cornell has written a majority of their material, even though he doesn't play the solos or lead on all of it.  He writes it, shows it to the other guys, and they play it and add things here and there.  In the end, he wrote the song.

I think he meant more that he realizes he's in a tough spot.  He can compromise what he believes to not disappoint the fans, or he can take the beating everyone will give him for not playing with them.

To me, the best part of this is the new music part.

And it shouldn't come as a shock to ANYONE that Axl and Izzy were the key writers in GNR.  Izzy was MASSIVELY more important than Slash when it came to writing.  Slash was the face of the guitar work, and the soloist, therefore he gets all the credit.

I would stress that Axl and Izzy were more important.  Would much rather see Axl work with Izzy again than Slash.

Axl was the x factor.  Without him, GNR would have never become as big as they did.  That no one can dispute.

Also, the first album was cool.

The first album was cool, but until they can find a singer who is good and not the bullshit they have been trying out, I have zero fuck with which to give.

IT'S NOT VR WITHOUT SCOTT FUCK YOU SLASH YOU FUCKING MOTHERFUCKER

Now VR threads can be hijacked by that BS as well.  5

Well, since Scott kinda ruined te band, at least limited it, it's not valid. Cause Slash made GN'R great, but Scott made VR mediocre. So Scott is more of the Tracii Guns of VR, with more stuff written. wink

14

It ALWAYS comes to this.  "Scott is a mediocre writer."  "Scott is a mediocre singer."

So then you have Slash playing with Myles who has a much larger vocal range... and?

Scott has a lot of stage presence, something that anyone who fronts VR needs.

I would also add that it wasn't just Scott that made VR mediocre.

I also find it funny how everyone bitches about Scott without at the same time realizing that THESE GUYS PICKED HIM.  They auditioned a lot of singers and they picked Scott.  But yes, you all know way better than the ones you look up to.

I dont think so. New guys understand the reason they are cashing checks.

"Hey guys, you're like, not GNR for tonight okay?  I'm going to go play with the other guys, you know the ones people say are actually GNR, but like, when I'm done we can totally still play together."

Or...

"Hey uh, we're like, not married tonight okay?  I'm going to sleep with my ex-wife, but I'd like you to watch okay?  People always said we were soul mates. But after I'll totally take you for a ride."

I hate Green Day.

But this sounds weird.  Kind of like a girl who hasn't shaved in a while.

I wish Axl would have thrown out that douche that was pushing girls out of the way at the GNR concert.  He eyed him a few times I saw.  I was waiting for it.
