Kind of crazy the whole.thing ends with Axl's voice on PC. Or did I hear wrong?

Been meaning to check them out, mostly because of TMS. Thanks for the links.

I just bought a Texas Hippie Coalition album for the same reason (TMS) - I'll report back when I get a chance to listen.

First three albums were really good. Four, if you include the Five Man Acoustical Jam. As great as that was, though, their electric stuff was better - their layered guitars were very Def Leppard-y in some ways.

Haven't followed them all that much since then, but I think it was Caught In A Dream off Into the Now that struck me as really bad. First off, he was going for that hippie sentiment from Love Song, but something about wanting to "give the world a great big kiss" or some shit like that just grossed me out for some reason. I always pictured Jeff having to kiss some bushy mustache with crumbs in it.

They're still pretty good live, though I know they're one band that flat out admits to needing to play down a few steps so Jeff can still hit the notes. Frank is an underrated guitarist.

Should have had the balls to release the album back then and say "fuck you" to the 3 good songs thing.

Regardless of it looked, lets be honest. He probably would have said 3 or so good songs on "Use Your Illusion" too. Now I'm not saying the material we never heard and the album, is/was comparable to I/II, but he probably would have said it.

Some of us used to think years ago, that Axl was a perfectionist. I just think he lost his artistic integrity a decade ago.

I think he lost his confidence more than anything. That was then, I don't know for sure WHAT I think is going on with him these days.

The last album I bought of theirs was "Into The Now" which was pretty damn good, surprisingly good actually. They were the first rock band I ever saw on stage, opened for David Lee Roth in 86 I believe.

I believe I saw that tour as well. I believe I saw them open for Poison as well, but can't remember if both opened for DLR or I just saw Tesla twice.

Gonna stream it this afternoon from Amazon Cloud while I'm waiting for the disc to get here.

Ozzy and Geezer were on Stern this morning, some pretty funny shit. Ozzy's back to being incomprehensible. They spent a good amount of time interviewing the guy whose job it is to follow Ozzy around 24/7 keeping him sober.

I can't support this shit. I might be buying a Playstation for the first time ever (loyal xbox player).

Same here, except for the loyalty. 360 was my first xbox, when I got cheesed off that PS3 wouldn't be backwards compatible with my PS2 games. Dumb reasoning, but I'm the kind of guy who happily cuts his nose off to spite his face. All in all though, I've LOVED the 360. Can't imagine buying an Xbone now that they've clarified all of the pressing concerns, and the clarifications were all pretty much as bad as what was being imagined upthread.

So I may be back to PS4 land.

Great article on the Xbone presentations at E3 here: http://gameological.com/2013/06/xbox-e3-2013-recap/

Yeah, I'm taking a one week break from Sonic Reducer for DTJ. Such a great tune.

The mixed reviews, plus Ozzy's recent work, are both making me nervous. I can't wait to hear it either way though, BS was my first metal band. Them and the Beatles were my favorite bands for at least 10 years.
