Ban whatever you want; absolutely nothing changes. If all guns were made illegal today, it would be decades before any noticeable decrease in availability happened. And we know that will and can never happen. Bad guys will ALWAYS have access to guns. All you can control is the few that would turn their's in.

The second amendment isn't only about hunting guys.
Is your answer to do nothing? So in your opinion doing nothing is the same as doing something. It has no effect? I agree there isn't a ton you can do but you can make it harder. Anything can be regulated.
The 2nd amendment doesn't guarantee you a right to own an AR15 with a bump stock. Just like in 1986 or 1987 we deemed it didn't give you the right to own a full automatic.
We have a gun disease in the country. I am a gun owner, but too many take it to the extreme.
I am not nor have I ever been a gun owner, but I do believe in the rights given by the constitution. They are there for a reason and it takes a lot to change them for a reason.
Yes, nothing is the only choice until someone comes up with a viable plan that will actually accomplish something. Everyone says do something but not one person has come up with something of any substance. We need money for so many things in this country but people want to waste time and money trying to fix something that cannot be fixed. That is idiotic. You can't fix evil. No law, no rule, no declarations, and no amount of money can fix it.

What’s your solution?
Answer the question smart guy. We're all ears.

There were nearly 600 Americans shot on the Strip a couple of nights ago.
600 Americans.
And people like you think there is nothing we can do about it.
Insane.
We don't think, we know. People intent on killing people are indeed going to kill people. Ask people in Oklahoma City. It is absolutely idiotic to think outlawing anything is going to stop even one of these crimes from happening or even make it more difficult. It's sad that there are people out there that think throwing money at crap like that while there are real needs for the money is somehow a good idea.

I was never a Petty fan, but I respected him and his work. His voice just doesn't work for me (much like I can't stand Clapton). Had a few really good songs that even though I wasn't a fan I found a way to enjoy and the Wilburys is probably my favorite of his since he wasn't always singing. Huge loss for the industry and the large number of people that really enjoyed his work.

The same people who say there is no solution, are the same people who don't want to do anything about it.
Hardly a coincidence.
Ridiculous. I've never owned a gun and I shot one once at a range as a teen with my family and never again. Not at all interested. We're being realistic. You CAN'T do anything about it, so what's the point of wasting time and money on something that's not possible?
#1128 Re: The Garden » US Politics Thread » 449 weeks ago
It's not going to change because there's no solution. You'll never take the guns away...it literally will never happen. If they try, there will be a civil war and I say that as someone that has never owned a gun and has no plans to. The bad guys have guns. The bad guys will continue to get guns. All "gun control" does is keep them out of the hands of the good citizens. There are too many out there on the streets now that it would take decades to even make a dent if you stopped all gun production today in the entire world. Gun control is like airport security...it's about feelings rather than actual results.

The last thing I am worried about in a studio release is Axl's vocals. Ok, maybe not the last thing, but they will be spot on. He can do a song a week and rest his voice in-between to bring the rasp as needed. I think Mickey is a result of him cruising through parts of the live set to save himself. He seemed to bring it most of the time with AC/DC, so it's not like he can't do it, but it's very demanding on his voice and he "had" to bring it in AC/DC where he was proving himself more than he does in GnR.

4 won't happen.
I will say though watching the show at Winston-Salem had me longing for the 92 Axl who was winded running around but brought the rasp 100%.
